Niva was left behind with her siblings on a parking lot, without her mother and without food or water. Too young to survive on her own. Fortunately, Elisa found Niva and the other puppies and managed to persuade them to come with her. The video below shows how Niva and her siblings were found. Niva is still a young puppy and how her character will develop is of course difficult to predict. From October 4, 2026, two of our colleagues will visit Alisa's shelter and will get to know Niva. Then her page will be updated with new photos and a more detailed character description. In any case, the sooner she leaves the shelter and is well received and guided in a nice home in the Netherlands, the greater the chance that she will adapt relatively smoothly to her new life as a beloved family dog. Of course, the transition is still big and that means that the first period needs a lot of rest, patience and small steps, so that she is not overwhelmed by all the new impressions. From September 27, 2026, Niva is ready for a one-way trip to the Netherlands and can, if we have found a good place, join a next transport. Of course, all necessary vaccinations must be in order before departure. In addition, her health will be checked and she will have a registered chip and a passport before departure. Niva has not been spayed. Because of the influence on development and behavior, we also do not recommend sterilization - at least for now. If a suitable adoptive parent or foster family comes forward for her, our foundation will arrange the transport from the shelter, with professional pet transport. Our dogs are brought home one by one to their foster home or their permanent home.

Informatie: Niva werd samen met haar broertjes en zusjes achtergelaten op een parkeerplaats, zonder moeder en zonder eten of drinken. Veel te jong om zelf te kunnen overleven. Gelukkig vond Elisa Niva en de andere pupjes en wist ze ze over te halen om met haar mee te gaan. Het filmpje hieronder laat zien hoe Niva en haar broertjes en zusjes gevonden zijn Niva is nog maar een jonge pup en hoe haar karakter zich verder zal ontwikkelen, is natuurlijk moeilijk te voorspellen. Vanaf 4 oktober 2026 zijn twee van onze collega's op bezoek bij Alisa's asiel en zullen ze Niva leren kennen. Dan zal haar pagina aangevuld worden met nieuwe foto's en een uitgebreidere karakteromschrijving. Hoe dan ook, des te eerder zij het asiel zal kunnen verlaten en in een fijn thuis in Nederland goed wordt opgevangen en begeleid, des te groter is de kans dat zij zich relatief soepel zal aanpassen aan haar nieuwe leven als geliefde huishond. Natuurlijk blijft de overgang groot en betekent dat de eerste periode veel rust, geduld en kleine stapjes nodig heeft, zodat zij niet wordt overweldigd door al die nieuwe indrukken. Vanaf 27 september 2026 is Niva klaar voor een enkele reis naar Nederland en kan, als we een goede plek hebben gevonden, mee met een volgend transport. Natuurlijk moeten voor vertrek alle benodigde inentingen in orde zijn. Daarnaast wordt haar gezondheid onderzocht en heeft zij voor vertrek een geregistreerde chip en een paspoort. Niva is nog niet gesteriliseerd. Vanwege de invloed op ontwikkeling en gedrag raden wij sterilisatie - zeker voorlopig - ook niet aan. Wanneer zich een goed passende adoptant of een gastgezin aandient voor haar, dan regelt onze stichting het vervoer vanaf het asiel, met professioneel huisdiertransport. Onze hondjes worden één voor één thuisgebracht bij het adres van hun opvang of hun blijvende thuis.
