Noah, scheues, zurückhaltendes Kerlchen, geb. Nov. 2022, Schulterhöhe ca. 45 cm

Mixed Breed · Unknown

Noah is making progress: Regular training is being conducted with him, and his initially almost insurmountable fear of humans is slowly fading away. Noah now greets familiar people who regularly interact with him expectantly in his enclosure. If he is on his outdoor area and someone calls him, he comes running, because there might be a few treats waiting for him. At the moment, we are working on getting Noah used to the mere presence of humans, different movements, walking around, and sounds. To eventually put a collar, harness, and leash on Noah, it is important to be able to handle him safely—both for the animal and the human. So, step by step, we are training him to get used to human hands and movements. Our little grumpy-nosed Noah also eats very happily, which helps us to positively associate the exercises. And since a few weeks, Noah has become braver, approaching closer, and trusting humans more. We are very proud of Noah! What Noah experienced? We do not know exactly. Noah’s mother had to meet animal welfare workers in a terrible shelter. It is likely that Noah was also born there. In a cold concrete floor, with hundreds of other dogs begging for a little bit of food that was occasionally thrown to them. What happened to Noah’s mother is not known… but Noah was able to be rescued from this shelter. For many months, he lived more or less on a foster home. He was allowed to live, but nothing else. Noah withdrew, avoiding contact with humans. Only with his four-legged buddy Sammy did he often sit very close together. Two friends who gave each other support and survived… and they are learning that there are people who want to help them. People who do not demand anything, people who are interesting. People whom one might eventually trust.

DE·Show original

Was Noah erlebt hat?
