Nola

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy

Nola is about 7 months old and the daughter of Nadine. She was found in Greece with her mother and then came to us in Germany. Now the young dog is ready to find her own home. As is typical for a young female dog of her age, Nola is very playful, curious and full of a desire to explore. Everything is exciting and she wants to take a close look at it. She is still in the middle of her development and must first learn about the world. Nola is currently being treated for Ehrlichiosis. The disease is treatable. We would be happy to inform interested parties in a personal conversation about the current treatment status and everything that is important for her further care. The ABC of dogs is still very new to Nola. She has to learn a lot, from the basic rules of living together to good basic training. Her future people should therefore have enough time, patience and joy in training. Especially with a young dog, it takes loving consistency, understanding and the willingness to accompany her step by step. We are looking for a home for Nola with people who are eager to accompany a young female dog as she grows up, give her the necessary guidance and share many new experiences with her. If you would like to get to know Nola, please feel free to contact us.

About Nola

What life with Nola looks like

Nola is a puppy mixed breed dog waiting at Tierschutzverein Winnenden e.V. in Germany.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Dogs and cats typically leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with an EU pet passport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Nola, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Nola?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzverein Winnenden e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Nola on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Nola if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutzverein Winnenden e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Nola already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Nola isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzverein Winnenden e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Nola and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
