Adopt Norbert – Potential Home Found

Dachshund · Unknown · Puppy · 4 months

Norbert – Wales Adoption fee £450 Approx 2years, Male, Black and Tan Smooth Coat Tweenie (8kg). Not Neutered. Norbert is a charming survivor who is officially ready to trade his stray days for a permanent spot on your sofa. Since moving into foster care, Norbert has discovered the magic of home comforts, and it’s safe to say he’s a massive fan of the “good life.” This boy is a bundle of athletic energy and would be the perfect match for an active individual or family. He absolutely lives for a high-speed zoom around the garden and would thrive in an environment where he can get plenty of exercise. He currently shares his foster home with another dog and truly enjoys the company, so he’d love to find a forever home with a furry best friend to keep him confident. He’s also been tested with children and would be happy to live with dog-savvy kids aged ten and up. Now that he’s settled, Norbert’s true, quirky personality is shining through. His foster mum describes him as a bit of a “toddler on steroids”.. He is incredibly playful and still has a bit of a puppy-like habit of chewing things (cardboard boxes are his current target of choice). He’s also developed a hilarious habit of being a “collector.” Whether it’s food, toys, or even someone else’s bed, Norbert likes to gather his treasures and stash them away in his own bed for safekeeping. This is potentially a leftover habit from his unknown history when resources may have been scarce, but it’s hard to be cross with him when he looks so adorable. Beneath the playfulness, Norbert is a sensitive soul. Occasionally, he’ll withdraw for a moment, almost as if he’s checking to see if he’s still loved or waiting to see if he’s in trouble. As soon as he realizes he’s safe and sound, he’s right back out for more affection. He is still navigating the rules of a house and thrives on a steady routine to help him feel secure. If you’re looking for a lively, slightly mischievous, and deeply loving companion, Norbert is waiting to show you just how much heart he has to give.
