Nova kreeg helaas geen eerlijke start in het leven. Rescuer Timea zag haar verborgen onder een auto. Al snel ontdekte ze dat er iets goed mis was: rond Nova's nek zat een touw dat steeds verder in haar huid was gegroeid. Timea besloot Nova direct te helpen. Ze nam haar mee en zorgde ervoor dat het touw werd verwijderd. Daarna kreeg Nova de naam Nova, als symbool voor een nieuwe start. Want precies dat is wat deze lieve hond verdient: een nieuw begin na haar moeilijke verleden. Om Nova de rust en zorg te geven die ze nodig heeft om te herstellen, verblijft ze momenteel bij een opvangadres. Daar kan ze bijkomen van wat ze heeft meegemaakt en in alle rust herstellen. Ondanks haar verleden liet Nova al snel zien dat ze blij is met de mensen die haar helpen. Ze reageerde vrolijk op Timea en lijkt zelfs terug te ‘praten' wanneer ze aandacht krijgt. Dat kleine moment laat zien dat er achter haar moeilijke start een hond zit die graag contact maakt en het leven weer wil ontdekken. We hopen dat Nova's nieuwe begin uiteindelijk mag leiden naar een eigen, liefdevol thuis.
