Nunta

adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Nunta has found her home! Her story: Nunta is approximately 5 years old, measures a proud 60 cm at the shoulder, and tips the scales at about 35 kg. She is thus a real large girl—but a very gentle giant. She meets people openly, kindly, and friendly, and she enjoys every bit of attention. Not long ago, Nunta was able to leave Romania and move into our Stray Nest in Rennertshofen 86643. Here, she shows herself to be a true dream dog: relaxed, balanced, and very people-oriented. She gets along well with other dogs; she especially enjoys running free with her son Jake Sully. Only when other dogs pester her does she show a brief bark to make it clear that she does not take everything lying down—remaining sovereign and friendly at all times. She does not know cats, and children in her new home should already be older and stable and know how to handle dogs respectfully. Walks are the highlight for Nunta! As soon as she goes outside, she is full of joy and is currently still quite sprightly. Therefore, her new people should be stable due to her size and strength. We wish Nunta a warm dog bed where she can arrive in peace. An enclosed yard where she can move freely would be ideal. Her clever, independent nature should be fostered with appropriate physical and mental stimulation. Attending a positively run dog training class would also be a nice thing for her. Since Nunta likely has never lived in a house before, one should be patient and show her with love and empathy how an appropriate dog life works. She is lively, curious, and simply a treasure that will surely bring her people a lot of joy. Nunta is probably a herding dog. We are therefore looking for people who know the characteristics of such a dog or are willing to familiarize themselves with them. Herding dogs are not typical city or office dogs—ideally, it would be a house with a large, securely enclosed yard. Herding dogs are independent, intelligent personalities that need clear rules and consequences, but also plenty of warmth. They are loyal companions—people who once gave their heart to this breed usually remain loyal to them for life. Nunta is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea-treated. She has an EU pet passport and is ready to meet you after a positive Nunta is looking forward to getting to know you! Many thanks to Birgit D.! You named Nunta! Date: 08.06.

Vielen Dank Birgit D.! Du hast Nunta ihren Namen geschenkt! Stand: 08.06.2025

About Nunta

What life with Nunta looks like

Nunta is a large adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Nunta, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Nunta?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Nunta on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Nunta if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Nunta already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Nunta isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Nunta and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
