26-09-26 Oasis is a beautiful girl who has come into our care from a breeder and is now looking for a very special forever home where she can begin the next chapter of her life. When Oasis arrived with us, we noticed that her left eye was very sore and she was understandably very uncomfortable. She was seen by our vets and, sadly, it was found that her eye could not be saved and needed to be removed. Oasis has recovered well from her surgery and is doing really well. She has also had one tooth extracted. Oasis is an overall wonderful and sweet girl who is happy to approach you and enjoys having some fuss and attention. There have been a couple of occasions where she has grumbled and acted defensively towards some members of staff. These moments all happened before her eye was removed, so it is possible that pain or discomfort may have played a part. We will continue to assess and monitor how she progresses now that she is feeling much more comfortable and is no longer in pain. Oasis will be looking for an adult-only home with adopters who have experience with rescue dogs and who understand that she will need time, patience and kindness as she settles into her new life. She is confident enough that we would consider her being homed as an only dog, provided her adopters have plenty of time to spend with her and can offer her lots of companionship. She also gets along well with other dogs and would be happy to share her home with another kind resident dog. Oasis has never lived in a home before, so her adopters will need to be patient as she learns all about home life and new skills like house training. She can already walk well on a lead and harness and we think she will enjoy going on walks and adventures with her new family. We think Oasis has so much potential and are looking forward to seeing her continue to blossom now that she is feeling better. Oasis has a travel document. This dog can be homed with a resident dog.
