I’m Olinde… and I’m looking for a loving, gentle home with people who have plenty of time and a big heart—people who, despite my age and some health challenges, would still like to give me a wonderful life. With my affectionate and cuddly nature, I’ll show you just how much I appreciate it every single day. Here’s the story about me: I was found in a very emaciated condition. Now, more than anything, I long for a peaceful place where I can spend my golden years feeling safe and secure. I’m diabetic and need to receive insulin injections twice daily, at 12-hour intervals. I manage this beautifully! Additionally, it’s important that a daily blood-sugar profile be drawn up at least once a month to ensure my blood sugar levels are optimally adjusted. Of course, my caregivers will provide you with detailed advice on this—rest assured, we’ll handle it together just fine. I’m also a chronic sneezer, which usually shows up as occasional mild sneezing. Due to my age, I move a bit slower and feel stiffer now, so I’d really appreciate little aids to help me get around comfortably and reach my favorite spots without any trouble. To make movement easier for me, I receive pain relief medication once a day. At the animal shelter, I’ve shown myself to be a very loving and cuddly cat. Because of my age-related aches and pains, it’s possible that I might gently nip if something becomes uncomfortable—for example, when being brushed or when touched in sensitive areas. Ich bin Olinde … und suche ein liebevolles Gnadenplätzchen bei Menschen mit viel Zeit und einem großen Herzen, die ihr trotz meines Alters und gesundheitlicher Baustellen noch eine wunderschöne Zeit schenken möchten. Mit meiner liebevollen und verschmusten Art werde ich es dir jeden Tag aufs Neue danken. Das bin ich: Ich wurde gefunden und war stark abgemagert. Jetzt wünsche ich mir nichts sehnlicher als einen ruhigen Ort, an dem ich meinen Lebensabend in Geborgenheit verbringen darf. Ich bin Diabetikerin und brauche zweimal täglich meine Insulinspritze, im 12-Stunden-Abstand. Das mache ich ganz toll mit. Außerdem sollte mindestens einmal im Monat ein Tagesprofil erstellt werden, um meinen Blutzucker optimal einzustellen. Dazu beraten euch meine Tierpfleger:innen natürlich ausführlich – das kriegen wir gemeinsam gut hin, versprochen. Ich bin außerdem Dauerschnupferin, was sich bei mir hauptsächlich durch gelegentliches leichtes Niesen bemerkbar macht. Altersbedingt bewege ich mich schon etwas langsamer und steifer, und ich freue mich sehr über kleine Aufstiegshilfen, damit ich meine Lieblingsplätze weiter bequem erreichen kann. Um mir die Bewegung zu erleichtern, bekomme ich einmal täglich Schmerzmittel. Hier im Tierheim zeige ich mich als sehr liebevolle und verschmuste Katze. Aufgrund meiner altersbedingten Schmerzen kann es vorkommen, dass ich mal zwicke, wenn mir etwas unangenehm wird – beispielsweise beim Bürsten oder wenn ich an empfindlichen Stellen berührt werde. Meine Signale sollten deshalb respektiert werden. Ich wünsche mir … einen ruhigen Haushalt ohne Kinder, in dem ich als Einzelkatze alle Aufmerksamkeit genießen darf. Ich werde nur in Wohnungshaltung vermittelt und würde mich über einen gesicherten Balkon oder zumindest ein gut gesichertes Fenster freuen, damit ich frische Luft genießen und meine Umgebung beobachten kann.
