Olivia - 3

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 1 year

Olivia is a young dog, full of energy. She is very friendly and loves playing with the puppies, cats and other dogs in her foster home. She is house trained and suitable for an apartment. She walks on a leash with minimal pulling, is usually calm indoors, but loves to run around when playing with the puppies. She is very obedient. If you call her, she runs to her spot and stays there (it seems the previous owners used to yell at her). She can climb and run away. Please be aware of this as an adopter! If she wants to go inside (or outside), she can do so. She made a climbing party over the puppy playground net and entered the puppies' area. They are her friend's puppies. She loves playing with them. In her case, it was not breaking in but breaking out. She loves chew toys and is super, super cute and can adapt well. A family left their house in a village and moved to the city. They left their dog behind.

NL·Show original

About Olivia - 3

What life with Olivia - 3 looks like

Olivia - 3 is a small young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Stichting Zilver in —.

A young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇳🇱Adopting from Netherlands

Dutch shelters typically require a household assessment and an adoption contract. Animals are routinely sterilized, microchipped, and registered in the national pet database (NDG) before placement.

Frequently asked

Adopting Olivia - 3, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Olivia - 3?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Stichting Zilver handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Olivia - 3 on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Olivia - 3 if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Stichting Zilver will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Olivia - 3 already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Olivia - 3 isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Stichting Zilver early rather than rehoming privately; they know Olivia - 3 and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (NL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
