Hello, I am Olivia … and I unfortunately came to the animal shelter because I was not well cared for. I am looking for a dog-experienced home in a quiet area without children, as I am quite insecure, get scared easily, and am quickly overwhelmed by many stimuli. Life in the city would cause (and thus also you) quite a bit of stress. Therefore, I wish for a quiet home on the outskirts of town (apartment or house). It would also be nice if there is already a compatible dog present, as I have already become friends with several dogs here at the animal shelter! My foster parent, with whom I sometimes get to go home, reports (almost) only good things about me! Would you like to know more about me? I can be very protective. Well, I just watch over everything that is "mine." Strangers – but especially men – are not mine at all – with women, I become quite warm quite quickly. If I am, however, confronted or left alone with my insecurity, I would bite or at least snap at strangers – I have already shown this in my previous husbandry. Therefore, it is important that you do not put me in an uncomfortable situation by meeting strangers without first getting me to relax on a walk and securing me with a muzzle. Once I have someone in my heart, I am simply magical! I am vigilant but also very insecure. But I can already be alone for a few hours if I have settled in, and I am house-trained! At the vet, I need a muzzle, but that is no problem. My primary caregiver can also lift me onto the examination table and hold me, but if a vet gets too close or pokes me, I can become a bit grumpy. Give me just a little time, calmness, clear guidance, and security. I actually really like driving in the car, even though my stomach doesn't always agree. It's best if you don't give me anything to eat before the car ride 😉 I love lying on the couch with you and sleeping, simply being with my primary caregiver. If you want to train something with me – I can already do the basic commands! I unfortunately still can't handle new situations very well. Since I am initially very unfamiliar, several walks will be necessary to gain my trust. Women have it much easier with me than men. But once you have won my trust, I am a cuddly and loving furball. A visit to a dog training class would be great for me. Strangers should always be introduced to me outside the house during a joint walk – visitors should never just enter the house if I have not thoroughly checked them out beforehand. Loud noises, such as the vacuum cleaner, are very scary to me, as are strong gestures or bottles held in the hand. I am equally insecure about drunk people, children, and other unpredictable creatures. You must lead me confidently and teach me that I don't need to worry. It's best to leave the toys completely out of the picture, as I can quickly fall into a kind of delusion and have great difficulty regulating myself. Something you should definitely know … I am currently on pain medication because my joints and muscles are not as well intact. I was also neutered because I had tumors on the mammary glands and I was chronically in heat. The treatment for these chronic pre-cancerous conditions continues to be free at the animal shelter. Ich bin Olivia … und kam ins Tierheim, weil ich schlecht gehalten wurde. Seitdem warte ich nun vergeblich auf ein tolles hundeerfahrenes Zuhause. Das bin ich: Ich bin ein ziemlich unsicherer Hasenfuß, erschrecke mich schnell und bin von vielen Reizen schnell überfordert. Ich wache gern über alles, was meins ist. Fremde – vor allem Männer – sind nicht so meins, mit Frauen werde ich in der Regel schnell warm. Wenn ich aber bedrängt oder mit meiner Unsicherheit allein gelassen werde, würde ich nach fremden Menschen beißen oder zumindest schnappen – das habe ich auch schon in meiner vorherigen Haltung gezeigt. Wichtig ist daher, dass man mich nicht in die unangenehme Situation bringt, fremden Personen zu begegnen, ohne mich diesen bei einem Spaziergang vorab entspannt vorzustellen und mit Maulkorb abzusichern. Schließe ich erst einmal jemanden ins Herz, bin ich ganz zauberhaft! Ich bin wachsam, aber eben auch sehr unsicher. Aber ich kann schon ein paar Stunden allein bleiben, wenn ich mich eingewöhnt habe, und bin stubenrein! Beim Tierarzt brauche ich einen Maulkorb, aber das ist kein Problem für mich. Von meiner Bezugsperson lasse ich mich dann auch auf den Behandlungstisch hochnehmen und festhalten. Nur kommt mit ein Tierarzt zu nah oder piekst mich dann werde ich etwas grantig. Gib mir einfach etwas Zeit, Ruhe, klare Führung und Sicherheit. Auto fahren mache ich eigentlich ganz gern, auch wenn mein Magen da nicht immer ganz mit machen möchte. Am besten gibts du mir vor der Autofahrt nichts zu essen.😉 Ich liebe es, mit meinem Menschen auf der Couch zu liegen und zu schlafen – einfach bei meiner Bezugsperson zu sein. Auch die Grundkommandos beherrsche ich natürlich. Neue Situationen machen mich unsicher. Hast du aber erstmal mein Vertrauen gewonnen, dann bin ich eine richtig verschmuste und liebe Fellnase. Der Besuch einer Hundeschule wäre super für mich. Fremde Menschen sollten mir immer außerhalb der Wohnung bei einem gemeinsamen Spaziergang vorgestellt werden, nicht einfach so die Wohnung betreten, wenn ich sie zuvor nicht ordentlich auschecken konnte. Auch laute Geräusche, wie zum Beispiel den Staubsauger, finde ich ganz gruselig, ebenso starkes Gestikulierungen oder in der Hand gehaltene Flaschen. Unsicher bin ich auch gegenüber betrunkenen Menschen, Kindern und anderen nicht ganz berechenbaren Lebewesen. Hier musst du mich souverän führen und mir vermitteln, dass ich mir keine Sorgen machen muss. Ich wünsche mir ein erfahrenes Zuhause in einer ruhigen Gegend ohne Kinder. Das Leben in der Stadt würde mir (und damit auch dir) Stress bereiten. Ich wünsche mir daher ein ruhiges Heim am Stadtrand (Wohnung oder Haus). Gern kann auch schon ein verträglicher Hund vorhanden sein, denn hier im Tierheim habe ich mich mit einigen Hunden anfreunden können. Möchtest du mich kennenlernen?
