Mixed Breed · Male · Puppy · 5 months

adoption requirements adoption process Adopt now this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Olli can travel directly to his final home! His story: Fantanele, Romania. Caution: Sugar shock! Olli, Billy, and Mailow were taken into our care together with their mother Hekate. They were found at a train station. The three little mice are very friendly. They are so innocent and adorable that one would want to hold them in one's arms all day and cuddle with them. Olli currently weighs 2.5 kg on the scale. It is likely that he will stay a small size when he grows up. His mother is 35 cm tall and weighs 8.5 kg. Olli is looking for people who won't have too many expectations of him and will show him how a normal dog life works. He is still a baby and has a lot to learn. Sometimes, a mishap shouldn't be held against him, and Olli should always be guided with a positive reinforcement training style. He is looking forward to his new life with beautiful nature walks, many cuddle hours, and also a visit to puppy school. He gets along well with his brothers. Whether he gets along with cats, we do not know. Puppies should not be left alone as much as possible in their first year of life. Additionally, the more demanding pubertal phase is approaching. The hormone chaos turns the lives of these little rascals upside down. They "forget" often what they have learned so far, and their ears are on full blast. Therefore, it is especially important in this phase to train consistently but lovingly. And there is also good news: This phase will pass! Olli travels microchipped, vaccinated, treated for fleas, and dewormed together with his EU home permit to his new life. He will travel to his forever home with positive energy. Has Olli caught your interest? Of course, Olli would love to travel directly to his forever home, but he would also be happy with a foster home. Thanks to Gritt K.! You have given Olli a name and a start to his new life.

About Olli

What life with Olli looks like

Olli is a puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Olli, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Olli?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Olli on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Olli if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Olli already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Olli isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Olli and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
