Olo

Male · Senior · 9 years

You know how it is, when you've been waiting your whole life... and no one comes? When instead of a warm bed there's a cold floor, instead of affection - loneliness, and instead of love - indifference? Olo probably never had a real home. Never had his place. Never had a person who would be by his side forever. There are signs of neglect on his body. Life wasn't good to him. And yet, Olo still trusts people with his whole dog's heart. Only at the animal shelter did he start to discover what kindness from a human is. It was here that volunteers showed him affection, gentle touch, walks, and care. It was here that he began to understand that a human can be someone good. Olo is very happy to interact with people, eagerly goes for walks, walks beautifully on a leash, and with great delicacy asks for a little attention. He's a sensitive, calm puppy. He is in canine socialization. Olo opens his heart more and more each day. But an animal shelter, even the best one, can never replace a home. Olo deserves something more than a cage and a lonely box. He deserves a family. His own bed and couch. A person who will never let him down again. Maybe you can give him everything he's never had? Security. Warmth. Love. And a place that will be his home forever.

PL·Show original

To tutaj wolontariusze pokazali mu czułość, spokojny dotyk, spacery i troskę.

About Olo

What life with Olo looks like

Olo is a medium-sized senior dog waiting at Schronisko Na Paluchu in Warsaw.

Senior dogs settle in faster than younger ones. They want a soft bed, predictable meals, and short, sniff-heavy walks rather than runs. Many senior rescues bond deeply within weeks because they understand exactly how good a stable home is. Expect occasional vet visits for joint or dental care.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Olo, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Olo?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko Na Paluchu handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Olo on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Olo if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko Na Paluchu will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Olo already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Olo isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko Na Paluchu early rather than rehoming privately; they know Olo and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
