Oreo

Mixed Breed · Male · Young · 1 year

Oreo is a small lovely Terrier boy, whose family did not want him anymore due to his high energy levels. Oreo has been winning the hearts of volunteers ever since he arrived to the shelter, and he loves to go for walks, play in the park and stay together with humans. Oreo is kind, friendly and loving with all humans he meets, and it is easy to establish a relationship with him. At the same time, Oreo is a young Terrier boy afterall, and he is definitely not a little sofa dog. He is very very active, and is looking for a human, a family, who are seriously interested in dog sports and physical as well as mental activities for dogs, to positively direct this young boy's energy. He learns quick and he loves yummy snacks, so it is very easy to work with him. Oreo loves to climb on bridges, jump through little hoops, and learn tricks for treats - agility, obedience and tricks training would be ideal for him, and some form of regular dog sports is essential to allow him an outlet for all of his energy. When Terrier or any type of active dogs, do not have a job or an activity in their lives, and are only expected to integrate into the normal daily lives of humans, without any concentration on the dogs needs, then they can get destructive in homes, and in their behaviours, because they simply have no direction or output for their energy. Oreo loves children and connects very well with them. At the same time, very fast, erratic movements stress him, so in case of children in his new home, they should definitely be over toddler age. Oreo is looking for a home without cats. Living together with other dogs would be beneficial for him, but not an absolute must. He is flexible in terms of his surroundings, he could live in a town setting or in the countryside, as long as he has his family, activities and trainings. His shoulder height is 33cm.

About Oreo

What life with Oreo looks like

Oreo is a small young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Triple A Marbella in Marbella.

A young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇪🇸Adopting from Spain

Spanish protectoras generally include sterilization, all vaccinations, microchip ID, and EU pet passport in the adoption fee. Many maintain partnerships with rescue transport providers across the EU.

Frequently asked

Adopting Oreo, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Oreo?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Triple A Marbella handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Oreo on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Oreo if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Triple A Marbella will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Oreo already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Oreo isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Triple A Marbella early rather than rehoming privately; they know Oreo and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
