Adopt Ori

Mixed Breed · Male · Adult · 5 years

Ori - dog with a character Status: for adoption Presenting to you a gentleman dog with a rockstar soul – elegant, smart, well-groomed, but when needed, he can be a real rascal. A real dog with personality! He likes everyone – residents, guests, neighbors, even those who just brought a package from the parcel locker. At first, he barks at strangers, to check intentions, but once someone throws him a treat or kneels down, it's already settled – a new friend is gained. Gets along great with other dogs – lives with sixteen (!) different dogs and has no problem with that. With cats, similarly – complete chill, no dramas. Keeps the house clean, sometimes marks something (because after all, he's a guy, and guys have their own rules), but he knows it's not allowed and just one "eee" – and it's already over. Goes on walks willingly, although sometimes reacts on the leash, so it's good if the new caregiver is ready to work through this. Behaves perfectly in the car – like a true premium passenger 🚗. At the vet – no problem, as long as it's someone he trusts. In the house, he is calm, quiet, very polite… but unfortunately – he has separation anxiety. When left alone, he can howl and destroy things, so he requires crating, which makes him feel safer and calmer. This is a dog that needs a balanced, calm, and consistent person. Someone who clearly shows boundaries. Because once he knows what is allowed and what is not, he is simply the perfect dog. ❤️ He learns quickly and already knows many tricks – he's really smart, who quickly catches new commands. He will be the ideal dog for someone who wants to work with him, train him, use his potential, and enjoy learning together. Smart, sensitive, loyal, beautiful – the kind that once loves, never gives up. Not looking for just anyone. Looking for his person – forever. 🐾 — 𝐌𝐄𝐓𝐑𝐘𝐂𝐙𝐊𝐀 𝐏𝐒𝐀 — 🧮 Age: 01-01-2021 🚻 Gender: male 🐾 Size: 11 kg 🏀 Activity: average ❤️ neutered: yes ℹ️ Chip: yes 💉 Vaccinations: yes 📍 Location: Temporary Home in Tricity ✅ The dog is under the care of the Tricity branch of the Foundation for Puppies Judyta ✅ The dog is in a temporary home in the area of Tricity and surroundings ✅ Adoption requirement: filling out the questionnaire, pre-adoption visit, and signing the adoption agreement ✅ LINK TO QUESTIONNAIRE:

About Ori

What life with Ori looks like

Ori is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at Fundacja Judyta dla Psiego Losu in Poland.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Ori, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Ori?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja Judyta dla Psiego Losu handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Ori on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Ori if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja Judyta dla Psiego Losu will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Ori already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Ori isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja Judyta dla Psiego Losu early rather than rehoming privately; they know Ori and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
