Care for Dogs' one of the most important principles is to constantly develop and operate better. Spaying is the most important way they can help, and in recent years the shelter kennel has invested in providing assistance precisely in those areas where it is most needed. In Romania, there are areas in every city that are especially troubled due to people's poverty. Often, the people in these areas cannot even properly take care of themselves, and therefore the conditions for the animals are particularly bad. Care for Dogs has focused its help on these areas, as stray owned dogs are the main reason why homeless animal puppies are continuously being born. They offer free sterilization for dogs, but sometimes the families no longer want their dog back after the operation. This happened to Golden Oskar, who remained at the shelter kennel after being castrated in February 2025. Oskar is a big dog full of love. When looking at him, it is impossible not to smile, as he greets people, pats and treats with great joy and happiness. Oskar always seems to be in a good mood, and his tail never stops wagging when people are in sight. He loves everyone and appears to be a dog who simply wants to be involved and helpful. Before ending up at the shelter kennel, Oskar lived in a family where the children loved him very much. It is therefore no surprise that ending up in a kennel where people are only seen for a short time each day has been difficult for him. Despite this, Oskar has always been friendly to everyone. He is used to walking on a leash and would otherwise be ready to travel to a forever home. Oskar has always shared his enclosure with other dogs at the shelter kennel, so there could be a dog friend waiting at home. Oskar would certainly be very happy just being the center of attention. Oskar is primarily looking for a home with its own yard or direct access from the house outside. A flat is not the best solution for Oskar due to his size.

Care for Dogsin tarhan yksi tärkeimpiä periaatteita on jatkuvasti kehittyä ja toimia paremmin. Steriloinnit ovat heille tärkein auttamisen muoto ja viime vuosina tarhalla on panostettu tarjoamaan apua juuri niille alueille, missä sitä kipeimmin tarvitaan. Romaniassa joka kaupungista löytyy alueita, jotka ovat erityisen rauhattomia ihmisten köyhyyden vuoksi. Usein alueiden ihmisillä ei ole varaa huolehtia kunnolla edes itsestään ja siksi eläinten olot ovat erityisen kurjia. Care for Dogs on keskittänyt apunsa juuri näille alueille, sillä vapaana juoksevat omistetut koirat ovat pääsyy sille, että kodittomia pentuja syntyy jatkuvasti lisää. He tarjoavat koirille sterilointeja ilmaiseksi, mutta toisinaan perhe ei enää haluakaan koiraansa takaisin operaation jälkeen. Näin kävi kultaiselle Oskarille, kun hän jäi tarhalle kastroinnin jälkeen helmikuussa 2025. Oskar on iso koira täynnä rakkautta. Häntä katsoessa ei voi olla hymyilemättä, niin suurella ilolla ja onnella hän ottaa vastaan ihmiset, rapsutukset ja herkut. Oskar tuntuu olevan aina hyvällä tuulella, eikä hänen häntänsä pysähdy hetkeksikään kun ihmisiä on näköpiirissä. Hän rakastaa aivan kaikkia ja vaikuttaa koiralta, joka yksinkertaisesti vain tahtoo olla kaikessa mukana ja apuna. Ennen tarhalle päätymistä Oskar asui perheessä, jossa erityisesti lapset rakastivat häntä kovasti. Ei siis ole ihme, että päätyminen häkkiin missä ihmisiä näkee vain pienen hetken päivästä, on ollut hänelle kova paikka. Tästä huolimatta Oskar on aina ollut kaikille ystävällinen. Hän on tottunut kulkemaan hihnassa ja olisi muutenkin kaikin puolin valmis matkustamaan ikiomaan kotiin. Oskar on tarhalla jakanut aina häkkinsä narttujen kanssa, joten kotona voisi olla narttukaveri odottamassa. Oskar olisi varmasti kuitenkin hurjan onnellinen myös saadessaan olla kaiken huomion keskipisteenä.Oskar etsii ensisijaisesti kotia, jossa olisi oma piha tai pääsy suoraan kodista ulos. Kerrostalo ei Oskarin koon vuoksi ole hänelle paras ratkaisu.
