P26/0036-Coral

Mixed Breed · Female

Coral arrived at the shelter accompanied by Duna. They were found near a horse farm in l'Alcora, and Duna was also pregnant. For Coral, that change was not easy. She arrived with a lot of fear, insecure about people and everything around her. But Coral is teaching us that trust is not gained overnight. It is built little by little, respecting each dog's time and offering the security they need to discover that they have nothing to fear. And she is already taking her first steps. Little by little, she is letting herself be touched, accepting contact better and starting to discover that a hand can bring a caress and not something to be avoided. She is also learning to walk, a new experience for her that she is facing with a little more confidence each time. There is still a way to go, but every small step of Coral is a huge victory. Seeing how a dog that arrived paralyzed by fear starts to open up and trust reminds us of the importance of having patience and knowing how to wait. Now she needs a family that understands that earning her trust will take time, but that is also willing to discover everything behind that shy look. With calm, affection, and respect, Coral will be able to continue advancing and learn to enjoy everything she has not dared to know so far. Coral does not need anyone to hurry. She just needs someone to decide to walk by her side and give her the time she needs to learn to trust. About P26/0036-Coral

What life with P26/0036-Coral looks like

P26/0036-Coral is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at Huellas Callejeras in Spain.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇪🇸Adopting from Spain

Spanish protectoras generally include sterilization, all vaccinations, microchip ID, and EU pet passport in the adoption fee (typically €250–€400 for a dog, €100–€180 for a cat). Many maintain partnerships with rescue transport providers across the EU.

Frequently asked

Adopting P26/0036-Coral, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about P26/0036-Coral?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Huellas Callejeras handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw P26/0036-Coral on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt P26/0036-Coral if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Huellas Callejeras will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is P26/0036-Coral already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if P26/0036-Coral isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Huellas Callejeras early rather than rehoming privately; they know P26/0036-Coral and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (ES). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
