Pacco

Mixed Breed · Male · Young · 2 years

adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Now request this dog! Pacco is still young and has many adventures ahead. Together with his people, he wants to explore the world and enjoy his doggy life to the fullest. Pacco has a shoulder height of about 55 cm and is only about 2 years old. The young male dog has beautiful, bright, dense fur with a cream-white base color and beige, as well as darker patches. The slightly hanging ears and his attentive gaze give him a loving and loyal expression. In the company of people, Pacco is very playful and friendly. Whether he gets along just as well with other dogs and cats has not yet been tested. It is possible that Pacco carries herding dog genes to a certain extent. Therefore, we wish for Pacco people who already have experience or are willing to engage with the character traits of these dogs. Herding dogs are known for their loyalty, attentiveness, and close bond with their people. They often bring a calm, sovereign nature with them, but are also vigilant and independent thinkers. Herding dogs are not command recipients but partners—sensitive, intelligent, and with a strong need for attachment and trust. The young Pacco still has a lot to learn about dog ABC. We therefore wish for understanding and patient people who want to teach him the rules for a beautiful and peaceful coexistence. People who are okay with the fact that things might not always work out on the first try would also be a great match for Pacco. Even a loving foster family would be a valuable opportunity and a wonderful stepping stone for Pacco. Pacco is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and flea-treated. We dedicate the beautiful Pacco to the loving home he so deserves. Thank you, Sandra. Thanks to you, Pacco not only has a lovely name but also an identity. As of 06.06.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen!

About Pacco

What life with Pacco looks like

Pacco is a large young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Pacco, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Pacco?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Pacco on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Pacco if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Pacco already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Pacco isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Pacco and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
