While his life before rescue remains a mystery, we know that his journey has not been the easiest. After being surrendered to another rescue and spending only twelve weeks in a previous home, Paco is now looking for a stable, permanent place where he can finally decompress and feel truly secure. Paco has a naturally nervous disposition and finds the big wide world a little overwhelming at times. He is not a dog who offers instant trust; instead, he asks for time, treats, and plenty of patience. However, for those willing to put in the work, the reward is immense. Once Paco chooses you, he transforms into a joyful companion who thoroughly enjoys affectionate cuddles and showing off his legendary zoomies. Because so much of Paco’s past is unknown, we are looking for a specific environment to ensure he feels safe. We are seeking an adult-only home without children or cats, where he can settle without the pressure of a busy household. We believe Paco would benefit greatly from living with a calm, confident, spayed female dog, as having a steady companion will help him navigate the nuances of life and build his confidence by following a good example. Any prospective family will need to have experience with rescue dogs and be prepared to handle Paco with lots of care. It is important that his new owners are equipped to work with him on any new behavioural challenges he may face once he is in a home environment.
