PAMI

Female · Young · 3 years

Our European Shorthair cat PAMI came to us because her previous owners moved and couldn't take her. PAMI was born on 15.09.2022, is female, neutered, and is now searching for a loving home that meets her special needs. PAMI is a friendly, people-oriented cat who enjoys close contact with her trusted people. She is outgoing, cuddly, and talkative and looks forward to shared cuddle and playtime. At the same time, she is playful and curious and wants to be actively involved in family life. For PAMI, we wish for an apartment living situation. A well-secured, cat-safe netted balcony is a prerequisite so she can enjoy fresh air and exciting observation opportunities. Due to her friendly nature, we can imagine PAMI fitting well into a family with understanding children. She seems likely to be compatible with fellow animals, but this should be tested individually if necessary. Due to a spinal injury, PAMI should ideally avoid jumping as much as possible. She gets along well in everyday life but benefits from a home with small stairs or other climbing aids so she can reach higher places comfortably and without strain on her joints. Currently, PAMI is receiving pain medication and should continue to be under veterinary care. Due to her spinal injury, she may experience more complaints in old age, such as arthritis. Additionally, PAMI is a bit unsanitary in her litter box area. She therefore needs a litter box with a high rim so nothing falls out, but with a low entrance so she can use it comfortably despite her limitations. -0Fax:

-0Fax: 089/90 73 20E-Mail

About PAMI

What life with PAMI looks like

PAMI is a young adult cat waiting at Tierschutzverein München.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting PAMI, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about PAMI?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzverein München handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw PAMI on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt PAMI if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutzverein München will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is PAMI already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if PAMI isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzverein München early rather than rehoming privately; they know PAMI and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
