Panda

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 3 months

adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this animal now! adoption requirements adoption process Panda can stay forever! Her story: Panda lives up to her name – even though she doesn’t munch on bamboo, her black-and-white fur makes her a real standout. She’s a lively female dog that’s expected to be medium-sized. What breeds are in her, remains a fascinating mystery – Panda is a cheerful mix of everything that’s fast, fluffy, and lovable. Her past is unclear, but what matters most is: Panda and her four siblings are safe and thoroughly enjoying their puppyhood. Panda is extremely friendly towards people and gets along well with other dogs. Whether she knows or likes cats is still unknown. Whoever adopts Panda should know that the coming months will be full of adventures but also challenges. The puppy stage is sweet but also demanding – accidents, sharp teeth, and an unshakable curiosity are simply part of it. Because Panda is very people-oriented, she doesn’t like to be alone and prefers to accompany her trusted people everywhere. In puberty, Panda will then discover her own opinion: rules will be questioned, ears will stand at “go,” and perhaps hunting, herding, or protective instincts will show – or none of it. This phase requires patience, humor, and loving consequences. Whoever guides Panda with clear, positive leadership will be rewarded with a loyal, confident, and lively companion. Panda doesn’t seek a couch potato but an active family that’s up for training work and shared adventures. In return, she offers boundless affection and ensures that her people’s lives are never boring. Panda travels microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea-treated to her new home. She brings her EU pet passport of course. She would also be very happy to have a foster home. A heartfelt thank you goes to Jesse – through her namesake sponsorship, Panda found her way to a happy dog life. Stand: 15.10.

Stand: 15.10.2025

About Panda

What life with Panda looks like

Panda is a puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Panda, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Panda?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Panda on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Panda if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Panda already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Panda isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Panda and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
