Panter en Bever

Mixed Breed · Male · 6 months

Panter and Bevertje are an incredibly fun and well-matched pair. They complement each other beautifully: Panter is the smallest of the litter and is a bit more cautious by nature. She loves attention, but likes to take a moment to size up the situation first. That's why she usually lets Bevertje go first to explore the surroundings. Once she's sure it's safe, she lets loose and plays and explores happily. Bevertje, on the other hand, is a real enthusiast. He likes to be in the thick of things, is curious, and loves to be involved in everything that's happening. Together, they make a fun duo that enjoys exploring. They also love to help with cleaning: they regularly visit you and want to know exactly what you're up to. They grow up with other cats and a dog. At first, they found that pretty exciting, but now they're completely used to it. They still love to play together; they're clearly each other's favorite playmate. They also get along great with children. In short: a sweet, curious, and fun duo that complements each other well and brings a lot of joy!

NL·Show original

About Panter en Bever

What life with Panter en Bever looks like

Panter en Bever is a adult mixed breed cat waiting at Stichting Dierenasiel Gorinchem in Netherlands.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇳🇱Adopting from Netherlands

Dutch shelters typically require a household assessment and an adoption contract. Animals are routinely sterilized, microchipped, and registered in the national pet database (NDG) before placement.

Frequently asked

Adopting Panter en Bever, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Panter en Bever?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Stichting Dierenasiel Gorinchem handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Panter en Bever on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Panter en Bever if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Stichting Dierenasiel Gorinchem will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Panter en Bever already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Panter en Bever isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Stichting Dierenasiel Gorinchem early rather than rehoming privately; they know Panter en Bever and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (NL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
