Panter is a playful, energetic, and adventurous European Shorthair cat, approximately 20 weeks old when he entered a foster home. He is vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and de-fleaed, and comes with a referral letter for neutering. Panter is well-adjusted to household sounds and routines, quickly recognizing when food is being prepared. He is not afraid of the vacuum cleaner, but rather finds it an interesting object that requires a step to the side. Panter is also interested in the other cats in the foster home, but has not had enough time to determine if he enjoys living with other cats. Panter enjoys being near people, chatting with anyone who enters the room and demanding a pet or, preferably, a play session. When working on the computer, he likes to walk by your screen to get attention. Alternatively, he will place a paper wad next to you, as Panter is skilled at fetching. When he throws the wad, he asks you to throw it again and again. If Panter is bored or tense, he may attack a leg or arm with his claws. He can be distracted with a toy or a calm voice indicating that this is not the intended behavior. In the foster home, this behavior is slowly decreasing by ensuring he receives sufficient distraction throughout the day and rest when there are too many stimuli. With patience and proper guidance, Panter will likely learn to manage this behavior. Therefore, he is not a good match for households with young children or people without experience with cats. Panter is niet bang uitgevallen en heeft veel energie, dus hij wil al snel meer ruimte dan de logeerkamer. Hij zal een woning met een tuin waarin hij van alles kan ontdekken vast erg waarderen. Panter is duidelijk gewend aan huiselijke geluiden en routines. Zo heeft hij al snel in de gaten wanneer er gekookt wordt. Ook de stofzuiger is voor hem geen eng monster, maar een interessant object waarvoor je af en toe even een stapje opzij moet doen. Panter heeft ook interesse in de andere katten in het gastgezin, maar hij is daar nog te kort om aan te kunnen geven of hij ook plezier heeft in het samenleven met een andere kat. Panter is graag bij mensen in de buurt. Hij kletst tegen iedereen die de kamer binnenkomt en eist een aai of het liefst een spelsessie. Als je op de computer aan het werk bent, loopt hij zo nu en dan graag voor je beeldscherm langs om aandacht te vragen. Of, hij legt een propje papier naast je neer, want Panter is een kei in apporteren! Als je het propje weggooit, dan haalt hij het op en brengt het weer netjes bij je terug. Met een kort ‘miauw’ vraagt hij dan of je het propje nog een keer weggooit en nóg een keer graag Ben jij op zoek naar een speelse, energieke en gezellige kater? Wanneer de kennismaking positief verloopt, wordt de verdere administratieve afhandeling geregeld bij de Dierenopvang (op afspraak). Met het gastgezin maakt u dan een afspraak om de kitten op te halen. Op deze manier zorgen we ervoor dat elke kat op de juiste plek terechtkomt voor een liefdevolle en blijvende toekomst!
