adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Now request this dog! Pauline is a young, medium-sized, and calm female dog who initially meets unfamiliar people and new situations with shyness and caution. With her primary caregiver by her side, she gradually builds trust, becomes braver, and develops into a loyal companion in everyday life. Pauline especially loves long walks in nature, where she shows her joy for life and energy and can also run around and play exuberantly. Despite her probably not always easy past on the streets of Romania, she approaches people and other dogs with friendliness and openness. Pauline is also a very cuddly female dog who seeks the closeness to her people and greatly enjoys snuggling together. With her white fur and cute black spots, she has a particularly sweet and simultaneously sassy look that immediately wins hearts. For Pauline, we wish for a loving home that offers her security and safety so she can continue to build trust and fully settle into her new life. As she feels especially comfortable outdoors and loves exercise, a home with a garden and ample space to run would be ideal for her. In her current foster home, Pauline shows good compatibility with other dogs. She currently finds being left alone a bit difficult and should therefore be practiced with patience and love. Pauline can be visited and personally met in her foster home. She is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and treated for fleas. She is currently named by Martina B.! Thank you! Your name has given her a unique identity. Date: 13.04. Gets along with other dogs.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! About Pauline

What life with Pauline looks like

Pauline is a large adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Pauline, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Pauline?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Pauline on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Pauline if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Pauline already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Pauline isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Pauline and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
