Pearl

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Young · 3 years

Pearl, a beautiful three-year-old cat mother, is looking for a new home. She was found with her little daughter and has likely experienced a very difficult time. Despite everything she has been through, she has never lost her gentle nature: Pearl is an absolutely loving, kind soul and lives up to her name as a true treasure! Her gaze tells her story, as one eye is unfortunately no longer salvageable and will need to be operated on and removed before her departure. Pearl will therefore discover the world as a brave little pirate with only one eye - but this enchanting cat will not let that stop her from enjoying her new life to the fullest! Before she packs her bags, she will of course be fully taken care of: Pearl will travel chipped, vaccinated, spayed, and fully recovered from her eye surgery. And she is still looking for loving sponsors who would like to support her with a sponsorship. Request for Pearl Apply to sponsor Pearl

About Pearl

What life with Pearl looks like

Pearl is a small young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ankerhunde e.V. in Novi Grad.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇧🇦Adopting from Bosnia and Herzegovina

The shelter typically completes the animal's vaccinations, microchipping, and pet passport before adoption. Specific fees and process details vary by shelter and country — confirm directly via the contact details in the sidebar.

Frequently asked

Adopting Pearl, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Pearl?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ankerhunde e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Pearl on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Pearl if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ankerhunde e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Pearl already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Pearl isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ankerhunde e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Pearl and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
