Persermix Persusi – „Die auf dem Kopf schläft“

Mixed Breed · Female · Adult · 5 years

My name is Persusi. I am female, neutered, and born around 2009. I have been waiting since February 2021 for a new home. My caretakers say about me: Persusi was abandoned at our shelter in a winter night in 2020. Her condition was sad: unkept, overweight, and with a understandable insecurity, she entered quarantine. The usual treatments like deworming and de-fleaing, regular feeding, and the fact that nothing happened to her, made Persusi trust us. Persusi spent Christmas at our practice, her general condition suddenly worsened, and it became critical. An angel or two must have come by and helped her… now she is vaccinated and her teeth have been fully checked. Her blood work was unremarkable, and moving her is not a problem. Persusi is a special one and often makes us laugh. Not only her cute look with the hanging tongue is adorable, but especially when she suddenly looks out with no tongue. Go on, Persusi… if you pay attention to her facial expressions… And her little squeaky, toy-like voice, like a dog that has chewed on it for too long… But most of the time, she is quiet and laid-back and likes to just lie around. Sleeping and napping are definitely her favorite hobbies. But Persusi also has her own special strategy when it comes to movement in her sleep. There must be a yoga term for it: the head-sleeping position. Persusi curls up like a hedgehog, sometimes with a snoring hedgehog. And she doesn’t just sleep on her head, but more on her hindquarters. For her "movement joy," Persusi is a sleep athlete and gets a plus one from us in terms of flexibility. Persusi is cuddly and clingy, but she doesn’t make many demands on her new home except for a cozy sleeping spot and attention in the form of cuddles when Persusi recovers from her exhausting hobbies… Which movie fan would rather watch "The One Who Sleeps on Their Head" instead of "The One Who Dances with the Wolf" regularly… Persusi runs the show even when the power is out, she always keeps the home in order….

Can I adopt Persermix Persusi – „Die auf dem Kopf schläft“ if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierheim Schkortitz will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Is Persermix Persusi – „Die auf dem Kopf schläft“ already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. What happens if Persermix Persusi – „Die auf dem Kopf schläft“ isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierheim Schkortitz early rather than rehoming privately; they know Persermix Persusi – „Die auf dem Kopf schläft“ and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
