Since in Germany: January 2024 Foster home in: 42859 Remscheid Estimated age: born about March 2022 Estimated shoulder height: about 52 cm Get to know Dina directly in the video! female dog Dina wants to finally arrive - get to know her in 42859 Remscheid! Dina has come a long way. The female dog was rescued from a killing station in Romania. Now Dina was able to travel to a foster home in Germany and experience for the first time what safety and warmth feel like. Now she just wants one last stop: her own home. Are you looking for action? Then Dina is your perfect companion. This approximately 3-year-old female dog is a power package with an open but also gentle character. She is friendly, curious and eager to learn, loves cuddles and has an active character that reflects her joy of life. Dina already knows some commands such as "sit", "come" and "stop". She walks nicely on a loose leash, is house trained and can relax alone for several hours. She also masters car rides confidently. She particularly enjoys working together with people, is active and is happy about shared mental stimulation. In daily life, she shows herself as a wonderful companion and can accompany her humans, for example, to the office. At the same time, Dina has a good need for rest, comes to rest independently and enjoys her naps. She is compatible with known dogs and shows herself to be social. In contact with unfamiliar dogs, however, she needs clear guidance to give her security and orientation, which is why we are looking for dog-experienced people for her. In dog-rich environments, Dina wears a muzzle, which she accepts confidently. Moreover, Dina shows a pronounced hunting interest. For Dina, we are looking for a loving but consistent home in a quieter environment, ideally with a securely fenced garden, where she can arrive and enjoy her new life. She needs people with dog experience who can give her security, are physically active, like to hike or jog and enjoy learning together. Active seniors or older, dog-experienced children can also be well imagined. A confident only dog can also be present. Due to her pronounced hunting interest, we are looking for a home without cats for Dina. Already in love? Send us a self-disclosure form! Adoption If you are considering an adoption, please read through the adoption process first. All dogs are vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, treated for fleas and neutered before the travel arrangements (exceptions are puppies up to 6 months and very old dogs). Dogs older than 1 year are additionally tested for Mediterranean diseases. If you have any questions, feel free to send a message to our adoption team.

In Deutschland seit: Januar 2024 Auf Pflegestelle in: 42859 Remscheid Geschätztes Alter: geb. ca. März 2022 Geschätzte Schulterhöhe: ca. 52 cm Lerne hier Dina direkt im Video kennen!

About Pflegehund Dina

What life with Pflegehund Dina looks like

Pflegehund Dina is a medium-sized adult mixed breed dog waiting at Hunderettung Europa e.V. in Duisburg.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Pflegehund Dina, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Pflegehund Dina?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Hunderettung Europa e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Pflegehund Dina on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Pflegehund Dina if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Hunderettung Europa e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Pflegehund Dina already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Pflegehund Dina isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Hunderettung Europa e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Pflegehund Dina and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
