Pluto is generally very friendly and affectionate with his caregivers, but often still very exuberant and pushy. He finds it difficult to maintain polite distance and back off. He is also very excited around other dogs, sometimes strongly sexually motivated. He accepts strangers well if he is properly guided and led. In situations where Pluto does not want something or is under strong stimuli, he may growl and in serious cases even move forward. There have been situations that could have escalated. In most cases, he can be stopped by clear speech and correction. Pluto therefore needs clear, consistent leadership. If he is left to make decisions, he tends to decide for himself and can then become more territorial and reactive. If leadership is taken away from him, he is very easy to guide. He generally accepts corrections well. He is currently finding it more difficult to stop or back off, as he is very self-confident and physically strong. Overall, Pluto is a typical, strong Rottweiler with a lot of character, who still has a lot to learn. At the same time, he learns very quickly, generally wants to please his human and shows himself to be a big cuddly bear when he can. Pluto currently lives in a foster home, where he is trained and rehabilitated under professional guidance.

Pluto ist mit seinen Bezugspersonen grundsätzlich sehr freundlich und verschmust, allerdings oft noch sehr überschwänglich und aufdringlich. Höfliche Distanz und das Zurücknehmen fallen ihm noch schwer. Auch bei anderen Hunden ist er sehr aufgeregt, bei Hündinnen teilweise stark sexuell motiviert. Fremde Menschen akzeptiert er gut, wenn er entsprechend angeleitet und geführt wird. In Situationen, in denen Pluto etwas nicht möchte oder stark unter Reiz steht, kann er knurren und im Ernstfall auch nach vorne gehen. Bisher gab es Situationen, die hätten kippen können. In den meisten Fällen lässt er sich durch klare Ansprache und Korrektur wieder abbrechen. Pluto braucht daher eine klare, konsequente Führung. Wenn man ihm Entscheidungen überlässt, neigt er dazu, selbst zu entscheiden und kann dann territorialer und reaktiver werden. Wird ihm die Führung abgenommen, lässt er sich dagegen sehr gut lenken. Korrekturen nimmt er grundsätzlich gut an. Schwieriger fällt ihm momentan noch das Abbrechen bzw. Zurücknehmen, da er sehr selbstbewusst und körperlich stabil ist. Insgesamt ist Pluto ein typischer, kräftiger Rottweiler mit viel Charakter, der noch einiges lernen muss. Gleichzeitig lernt er sehr schnell, möchte seinem Menschen grundsätzlich gefallen und zeigt sich, wenn er darf, als großer Kuschelbär. Pluto wohnt aktuell auf einer Pflegestelle, wo er unter professioneller Anleitung trainert und resozialisiert wird.
