Pollux

Mixed Breed · Male · Puppy · 4 months

♂, born ca. 3/2026, puppy-typical - friendly - social in Bulgaria VERMITTLUNGSHILFE Our Pollux is a son of Moon, approximately 3/2026 born Terrier mix male and currently about 20 cm tall, he will grow a bit more but stay smaller. Pollux was secured with his siblings and Mama Moon's friends along with their offspring on a cemetery. All came joyfully to people and let themselves be touched and secured. Now they are all housed by a private animal rights activist and are being cared for there. Pollux with his Stuppsnase is melting away and will surely know how to wrap his humans around his paws :O). He plays, wrestles and cuddles with his mom and the other puppies in the run-out, so we can imagine a home at a social, with puppies to deal with, first dog. We are looking for people who are willing to teach Pollux the dog multiplication table, being alone, house training and walking on a leash, with calm patience and positive reinforcement and who do not let out the cuddle units short. Those who see the dog in Pollux and not an accessory, who take great, exciting walks, promote him and let him grow into a great companion on 4 paws. People who are aware of raising a puppy. Pollux would certainly be happy about visiting a dog school to have contact with same-aged dogs. Also about when he can come to work, because staying home alone all day is boring. Pollux does NOT want to live in the city center. In August, after successful basic immunization and rabies vaccination, Pollux is ready for travel. Pollux will be vaccinated and chipped. For castration and Snap 4-D test he is still too young. He is located in a private foster home in Bulgaria. The deposit fee is €520. Do you have a suitable home for Pollux? About Pollux

What life with Pollux looks like

Pollux is a small puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Freund fürs Leben e.V. in Berlin.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Pollux, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Pollux?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Freund fürs Leben e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Pollux on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Pollux if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Freund fürs Leben e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Pollux already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Pollux isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Freund fürs Leben e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Pollux and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
