* for an explanation, read Why we are careful placing foreign dogs in families with small children please. Prince is a super sweet dog who wants contact, but the world is still very exciting. He ended up in the asylum as a young puppy and had little contact with people since then. When our team member visited Romania in January he jumped up against her, but as soon as she wanted to lift him up he panicked. Where other dogs let it happen and relaxed, Prince couldn't. Since then we have met him several times, in March, May, June and October 2025. Although he has already taken some steps towards more confidence, he remains a waiting and sensitive dog. He takes a lot of time to thaw and quickly panics from new things. He is very food- and human-oriented, so we have good hope that with much attention, love, time and a safe place he could take some nice steps in this. The movies at the bottom of this page give a good picture of this beautiful, young dog! We place little Prince exclusively in a household where another dog is already present, and where there is not too much visit. With a social dog on his side, who can support him and lead by example, we expect Prince to become someone's fantastic boyfriend for life. A Facebook post on Prince, late September 2025: Unfortunately, he doesn't have his coat colour. Weird but true: Black dogs are placed less quickly. The harsh reality means that it is less easy to place. Many black puppies become long-seaters and are waiting for years for a cottage. Especially the young dogs who find the world a bit exciting... Hopefully Prince will be spared this fate and can come to the Netherlands soon.

Prince is een super lief hondje dat graag contact wil, maar de wereld nog wel erg spannend vindt. Hij is als jonge pup in het asiel terecht gekomen en heeft sinsdien weinig contact gehad met mensen. Toen ons teamlid in januari op bezoek was in Roemenië sprong hij tegen haar op, maar zodra ze hem op wilde tillen raakte hij in paniek. Daar waar andere honden het lieten gebeuren en zich ontspanden, lukte Prince dat niet. Sindsdien hebben we hem meerdere keren ontmoet, in maart, mei, juni en oktober 2025. Hoewel hij al wat stappen heeft gezet naar wat meer zelfvertrouwen, blijft hij een afwachtend en gevoelig hondje. Hij heeft veel tijd nodig om te ontdooien en raakt snel in paniek van nieuwe dingen. Hij is wel erg voer- en mensgericht, dus we hebben goeie hoop dat hij met veel aandacht, liefde, tijd en een veilige plek hier nog mooie stappen in zou kunnen zetten. De filmpjes onderaan deze pagina geven een goed beeld van deze mooie, kleine jonge hond! We plaatsen kleine Prince uitsluitend in een huishouden waar al een andere hond aanwezig is, en waar niet teveel bezoek over de vloer komt. Met een sociale hond aan zijn zij, die hem tot steun kan zijn en die het goede voorbeeld geeft, verwachten we dat Prince iemand's fantastische vriendje voor het leven wordt. Een Facebook bericht over Prince, eind september 2025: Helaas heeft hij zijn vachtkleur niet mee. Raar maar waar: Zwarte honden worden minder snel geplaatst. De harde realiteit betekent dat hij dus minder goed plaatsbaar is. Veel zwarte pups worden langzitters en zitten jarenlang te wachten op een huisje. Zeker de jonge honden die de wereld nog wat spannend vinden... Hopelijk blijft Prince dit lot bespaard en kan hij snel naar Nederland komen.
