PÜPi

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 6 months

Adoption requirements Adoption process Ask about this animal now! Adoption requirements Adoption process Ask about this dog now! PÜPi was rescued along with her siblings and the female dog Ronja from poor breeding conditions. What she experienced there was not a good start in life. Some of her siblings did not make it, only PÜPi and her sisters Yiska and Nima were able to win the fight for life and death. The approximately 6-month-old female dog is expected to grow to medium to large size. Her black fur is beautifully complemented by two long white front paws with small black spots and a white chest - a real little eye-catcher. In dealings with people, PÜPi is currently very shy. She lets everything happen quietly, but shows that she needs time to build up trust. New situations still unsettle her, but with patience and loving support, she will gradually learn to open up. With other dogs, however, PÜPi shows herself to be consistently friendly and social. She loves contact with her fellow animals and strongly orientates herself towards them. Whether puppies or older dogs - PÜPi is happy about any company and feels clearly comfortable in the pack. PÜPi is also now beginning to enter puberty - an important phase in which she will learn a lot more and test her limits. Her future family should accompany her patiently, consistently, and lovingly during this time. For PÜPi we wish a quiet home with understanding people who give her the time she needs. An existing, confident dog could help her gain trust more quickly and feel safer, but is not a must. PÜPi deserves a happy life despite everything she has been through. All that is now missing is the right family that shows her how beautiful a real home can be. After a positive adoption, thank you to Birgit L.. Thank you for giving PÜPi an identity, she can now finally go on the search for her forever home. Status: 13.05. This animal is vaccinated. This animal is microchipped.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! Lieben Dank an Birgit L.. Stand: 13.05.2026

About PÜPi

What life with PÜPi looks like

PÜPi is a small puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting PÜPi, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about PÜPi?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw PÜPi on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt PÜPi if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is PÜPi already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if PÜPi isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know PÜPi and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
