Queen

Labrador Retriever ยท Female ยท Young ยท 3 years

Hello everyone! ๐Ÿพ Let me introduce myself: my name is Queen, I am a beautiful Labrador mix born in March 2023. I weigh 25 kg and am a medium-sized dog. I am affectionate, sociable, and I absolutely love cuddles. Sadly, my story did not start out well. I was abandoned by the family I arrived in Albania with after they decided to get another dog. Since then, I have been living in a shelter, and for a while, I was very sad. Despite everything, I am still a dog full of love. I adore people, children, playing with other dogs, and spending time in the water. I walk nicely on a leash and remain calm during car rides. I am spayed, vaccinated, and currently receiving treatment for heartworm disease, which is progressing very well. For more than a year and a half, I have been waiting for a family of my own. I truly believed I had finally found one, but sadly, that promise never came true. Now, I dream of finding a loving home where I can finally feel safe, cherished, and part of a family. I am currently in Albania, but for the right adoption, I can travel anywhere in Europe. ๐Ÿ“ Foster/adoption form: ๐Ÿ“ž ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น Chiara (WhatsApp) โ€“ ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง Chiara (WhatsApp only) โ€“ ๐Ÿ‡ฉ๐Ÿ‡ช Sabrina (WhatsApp)

About Queen

What life with Queen looks like

Queen is a medium-sized young adult labrador retriever dog waiting at Furry Rescue Italy in Nazionale.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" โ€” quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures โ€” to let them settle.

๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡นAdopting from Italy

Italian canili require adopters to sign a stewardship contract (affido) and may retain the right to verify the animal's wellbeing post-adoption. Animals are chipped and sterilized before leaving (Legge 281/91). Public canili rifugio typically waive adoption fees.

Frequently asked

Adopting Queen, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Queen?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Furry Rescue Italy handles screening and the adoption contract directly โ€” TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Queen on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Queen if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad โ€” Furry Rescue Italy will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra โ‚ฌ100โ€“โ‚ฌ350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Queen already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported โ€” ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Queen isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work โ€” that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Furry Rescue Italy early rather than rehoming privately; they know Queen and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect โ€” names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
