Rana und Ravi were picked up in an apartment building and brought to us because no owner could be found. We therefore cannot provide any information about their previous lives. Both are initially skeptical around unfamiliar people. They need time to adjust to new situations. When it's quiet and she knows someone, Rana will now come out of her hiding place and enjoy being stroked. Ravi, on the other hand, is also curious but sometimes reacts to approaches by strangers with hissing or swatting. She often behaves ambivalently towards people, freezing up and not shying away from a half-hearted attack if she concludes that someone is too close. Rana und Ravi have a hard time getting along with other cats. Ravi especially makes it clear that she does not want to be bothered by fellow animals. As the two black ladies are so sensitive and react fearfully to loud noises and other stimuli, we are looking for a quiet home for them that gives them enough time and space and accepts them as they are. Children should better not be part of the new household.

Rana und Ravi wurden in einem Treppenhaus aufgegriffen und zu uns gebracht, da kein Halter ausfindig zu machen war. Über ihr vorheriges Leben können wir daher leider keine Auskunft geben. Beide verhalten sich fremden Menschen gegenüber erstmal skeptisch. Sie brauchen in neuen Situationen relativ lange, um aufzutauen und sich zurechtzufinden. Wenn es ruhig ist und sie einen kennt, lässt Rana sich inzwischen aus ihrem Versteck locken und gern streicheln. Ravi hingegen ist zwar ebenfalls neugierig, reagiert bei Fremden auf Annäherungsversuche aber auch schon mal mit Fauchen oder Schlagen. Auch wirkt sie dem Menschen gegenüber häufig ambivalent, friert ein und scheut sich dann auch nicht vor einer halbherzigen Attacke, wenn sie zu dem Schluss kommt, dass man ihr zu nah ist. Mit anderen Katzen können Rana und Ravi nicht sehr viel anfangen. Besonders Ravi stellt deutlich klar, dass sie von Artgenossen nicht bedrängt werden möchte. Da die beiden schwarzen Damen so sensibel sind und schreckhaft auf laute Geräusche o.ä. reagieren, suchen wir für sie ein ruhiges Zuhause, dass ihnen ausreichend Zeit und Raum lässt und sie so nimmt, wie sie sind. Kinder sollten besser nicht zum neuen Wirkungskreis gehören.
