Rayuela

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 1 year

Rayuela - young mixed-breed dog seeks a safe home Rayuela is a beautiful young mixed-breed dog who came to the Spanish animal shelter in July 2026 at the age of about ten months. Unfortunately, we only know about her past that she was found on the street and apparently experienced something terrible there. Fortunately, a finder took her home and cared for her lovingly until she recovered. Unfortunately, Rayuela could not stay there permanently. Meanwhile, the pretty mouse lives in the shelter and shows herself there as a very loving and affectionate young dog. She also gets along great with other dogs and enjoys their company very much. She has quickly integrated into the dog group and shows herself as a whole social and uncomplicated. Since Rayuela has not been in the shelter for long, the caregivers are getting to know her better and better. We do not know anything about her previous upbringing and what she already knows from a normal family life. Therefore, interested parties should be willing to patiently introduce Rayuela to everything she still needs to learn for her future life. For a young dog like Rayuela, life in the shelter is especially sad. She should not spend her youth behind bars, but discover the world, learn, play and build trust together with her people. Rayuela deserves a home where she can feel safe and secure and finally experience how beautiful a sheltered dog life can be. We wish her people who take responsibility for a young dog seriously and are willing to accompany her lovingly and patiently on her further way. Rayuela wants to leave her past life behind and finally arrive where she can stay forever. Here's Rayuela's video

About Rayuela

What life with Rayuela looks like

Rayuela is a young adult mixed breed dog waiting at SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. in Germany.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Rayuela, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Rayuela?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Rayuela on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Rayuela if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Rayuela already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Rayuela isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Rayuela and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
