Rémy

Male

Rémy came to us as a stray at the animal shelter. He was in very poor general condition and had to be treated for fleas initially, gaining some weight in the process. Now, Rémy has recovered well and is ready for a new home. He desperately wants the company of fellow animals for his new forever home so he doesn't have to be alone anymore. At the moment, Rémy is not yet used to close contact with people, so he doesn't like being touched currently. However, with patience, understanding, and enough time, he will have the opportunity to build trust with his new people. Leisibachstrasse 16 037 Root 041 450 00 Monday – Friday:

About Rémy

What life with Rémy looks like

Rémy is an adult animal waiting at Tierheim an der Ron.

Every animal has their own temperament and history. The shelter knows Rémy far better than any listing can convey — ask about daily routine, ideal household, and what kind of adopter they're hoping for.

🇨🇭Adopting from Switzerland

Paperwork, vet checks and transport rules differ by species and by country. Ask the shelter what is included and what you will need to arrange before you commit.

Frequently asked

Adopting Rémy, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Rémy?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierheim an der Ron handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Rémy on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Rémy if I live in another country?: Sometimes. Whether a animal can move between countries depends on the species and the rules in both countries, and some species need permits or have restrictions. Ask Tierheim an der Ron what paperwork and transport they require, and check the import rules of your country before you commit.
Is Rémy already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: What a animal comes with (vet checks, vaccinations, identification, paperwork) varies by shelter and species. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask Tierheim an der Ron directly what is included and what Rémy still needs.
What happens if Rémy isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierheim an der Ron early rather than rehoming privately; they know Rémy and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
