Rex

Mixed Breed · Male · Young · 2 years

Rex - A little Beagle looking for his big happiness! ❤️🐾 Sometimes a new life begins with a simple encounter. This handsome Beagle was found - tied to a chain. Just about two years old, he should have been discovering the world, playing and being loved. Instead, he had to experience what it means to be without a family and without someone who cares for him. Today, he is waiting for his life to finally change. 🍀 With his about 9 kg, he is a handy little guy, but in his heart is a lot of personality. He is neutered and fully vaccinated and shows himself friendly and open to people. Especially nice: ❤️ 🐾 He gets along wonderfully with other dogs. 🐱 He also loves cats. 👨👩👧 He finds people great and enjoys their closeness. Of course, he also has a little Beagle "own life". 😉 If laundry is hanging on the line outside, it can happen that he pulls on it. And anyway, he finds everything exciting that he gets into his paws. 🧦👕🐾 But who can blame him? When a dog is bored, no one plays with him and no one shows him what the world outside a chain has to offer, then he just finds himself busy. His little "faults" are not a bad intention - they are above all a sign that he finally needs attention, occupation and a real home. We are convinced: in the right hands, this little Beagle will become a wonderful companion. A dog who can experience with his people what it means to belong. ❤️ ✨ Maybe you are exactly the person he has been waiting for so long? We wish him a loving home where he is no longer overlooked, but finally loved, occupied and welcome as a family member. His new life could start now. 🐾🍀 📩 Do you want to give him a home? Then visit our homepage www.tiernothilfe-ev.de and fill out the placement questionnaire there. 👉 If you are interested, please click on "Inquiry" in the blue area of the ad, fill out the questionnaire completely, save and then send it to . ❤️ Maybe his past at the chain will soon be a memory - and from his waiting a home for always.

About Rex

What life with Rex looks like

Rex is a large young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Förderverein Tiernothilfe Siebenbürgen e.V. in Germany.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Rex, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Rex?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Förderverein Tiernothilfe Siebenbürgen e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Rex on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Rex if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Förderverein Tiernothilfe Siebenbürgen e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Rex already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Rex isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Förderverein Tiernothilfe Siebenbürgen e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Rex and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
