Robi

Male · Puppy · 4 months

Meet Robi, a cheerful and mischievous puppy boy! 🥰 Robi is a male with an estimated date of birth of June 2026. He will grow into a nice medium-sized dog. Robi and his little brother Romi ended up at the SOS Dogs Romania shelter. They came from another shelter that had asked for our help because it was overcrowded. Fortunately, both little guys are now safe, but of course we hope they will soon find their own lovely homes. ❤️ Robi is exactly what you hope for in a puppy: cheerful, social, playful and delightfully naughty! He enjoys contact with people and gets along well with other dogs. Walking on a leash felt rather exciting to him at first, but he has already taken the first steps. With some patience and positive guidance, he will gain more and more confidence in this. 🐾 Of course, Robi still has a lot to learn. The world is new to him, after all! With love, patience and good training, he can grow into a wonderful loyal friend. Who will give this sweet, cheerful boy a warm bed and the chance to discover the world together with his new family? Perhaps Robi is your new best friend! 🏡💕 Robi is still in Romania and can come to the Netherlands once a owner has been found for him. If you are interested in Robi, we would kindly ask you to send us a message about your home and work situation and any experience you have with dogs. If, after an intake conversation, it turns out that you are a match, an appointment can be made to pick him up at our small-scale shelter in Didam.

About Robi

What life with Robi looks like

Robi is a puppy dog waiting at SOS Dogs Nederland in NN Didam.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇳🇱Adopting from Netherlands

Dutch shelters typically require a household assessment and an adoption contract. Animals are routinely sterilized, microchipped, and registered in the national pet database (NDG) before placement.

Frequently asked

Adopting Robi, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Robi?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. SOS Dogs Nederland handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Robi on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Robi if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — SOS Dogs Nederland will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Robi already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Robi isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with SOS Dogs Nederland early rather than rehoming privately; they know Robi and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (NL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
