Robinson

Mixed Breed · Unknown

Robinson's story began on the streets of Lorca. He lived there with Estela for a long time as a stray dog and had to organize his life himself. It is suspected that he also comes from a shepherd. About three weeks ago, the two were finally able to come to safety. At first, Robinson was still very anxious and cautious - but after a short time, he understood that he no longer has anything to fear. Today, he shows himself from a completely different side: friendly, open and just a really great young dog. ❤️ Robinson is a Gos-d’Atura mix, a Catalan Shepherd Dog mix. These dogs are intelligent, attentive and very eager to learn. They were originally used to accompany and guard herds, which is why they like to work with their humans, observe their surroundings attentively and want to be mentally occupied. At the same time, they are often very loyal and build a close bond with their caregivers. Robinson also brings this curious and clever side with him. After his initial uncertainty, he has gained incredible trust quickly and shows how much potential he has. At just about a year and a half, he still has his whole life ahead of him and now wants to catch up on what he has missed so far: to get to know the world, learn, play, enjoy beautiful walks and above all finally have a person to orient himself around. After his long time on the streets, this young dog now finally has the chance to have a real home. From the anxious dog who came to safety a few weeks ago, Robinson has already become a more open-minded dog. Now all he needs is his own family, which shows him how beautiful a dog's life can be. © 2006-2026 by Tierschutzverein Europa e.V. - All rights reserved

© 2006-2026 by Tierschutzverein Europa e.V. - All rights reserved

About Robinson

What life with Robinson looks like

Robinson is a medium-sized adult mixed breed dog waiting at Tierschutzverein Europa in München.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Robinson, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Robinson?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzverein Europa handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Robinson on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Robinson if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutzverein Europa will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Robinson already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Robinson isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzverein Europa early rather than rehoming privately; they know Robinson and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
