Native Country: Hungary Romulus arrived at the animal shelter on December 6, 2023, as a found dog. He was found homeless in Kecskemét and reported to the Menhely. Unfortunately, there is no information about his past or why he became homeless. However, Romulus willingly got into the animal shelter van and was happy that someone had taken him in. Of course, he was not microchipped, and no one was missing him. He is now in the animal shelter, waiting to be discovered by loving people who can share the rest of his life with him. Romulus is a wonderful and loving four-legged friend, friendly, kind, and he loves us two-legged beings and enjoys it when people spend time with him, giving him attention, affection, which is often scarce in animal shelters. He also loves cuddles and human affection. The sweet guy just needs a little more training, but he is a smart little fellow and has surely understood how to "run like a hare" and he already does a great job on the leash. Romulus wants to be adequately exercised and go on exciting exploration tours with his new people. Romulus shares his kennel with Morfeusz, which works well, but they are separated for feeding. For our wonderful Romulus, we are looking for loving and dog-experienced dog friends and a warm home, preferably in the countryside with a garden. Romulus deserves the chance to move in as a valued friend to people and make up for everything he would love to learn: joyful walks, love, security, care, daily cuddles, and a 100% family connection. A home where he is cared for and can enjoy his life worry-free and carefree. Ursprungsland: Ungarn Der bildschöne Romulus kam am 6.12.2023 als Fundhund ins Tierheim. Er wurde herrenlos in Kecskemét gefunden und dem Menhely gemeldet. Über seine Vorgeschichte und warum er heimatlos wurde, ist leider nichts bekannt. Doch Romulus stieg bereitwillig ins Tierheimauto ein und freute sich einfach, dass sich jemand seiner annahm. Natürlich war er nicht gechipt, und es gab niemanden, der ihn vermisste. Er ist jetzt im Tierheim und wartet darauf, bald von lieben Menschen entdeckt zu werden, mit denen er seinen weiteren Lebensweg gehen darf. Romulus ist ein toller und lieber Vierbeiner, freundlich und nett, er liebt uns Zweibeiner und geniesst es, wenn man sich mit ihm beschäftigt und ihm Zeit und Zuwendung schenkt, was leider bei so vielen Hunden im Tierheim immer knapp bemessen ist. Ebenso freut er sich über Streicheleinheiten und menschliche Zuneigung. Der liebe Kerl muss noch etwas die Schulbank drücken, aber er ist ein schlaues Kerlchen und wird bestimmt schnell verstanden haben, wie «der Hase läuft», und das Laufen an der Leine macht er schon ganz prima. Romulus möchte hundegerecht ausgelastet werden und mit seinen neuen Menschen auf spannende Erkundungstouren gehen. Seinen Kennel teilt er sich mit Morfeusz, was prima klappt, nur zum Füttern werden die beiden getrennt. Für unseren wundervollen Romulus suchen wir liebe und hundeerfahrene Hundefreunde und ein liebevolles Zuhause, am liebsten auf dem Land und mit Garten. Romulus hat die Chance verdient, als geschätzter Freund zu Menschen zu ziehen und all das nachzuholen, was er so gerne kennenlernen würde: vergnügte Spaziergänge, Liebe, Geborgenheit, Fürsorge, tägliche Streicheleinheiten und 100 % Familienanschluss. Ein Zuhause, in dem er umsorgt wird und sein Leben sorglos und unbeschwert geniessen darf. Update vom 26.07.2026: Romulus ist inzwischen über 10 Jahre alt und lebt seit rund zweieinhalb Jahren im Tierheim, eine sehr lange und belastende Zeit für ihn. An den Mentortagen darf er seinen Kennel verlassen, und seine Mentoren schenken ihm Spaziergänge, auf die er sich jedes Mal riesig freut, dann ist er glücklich, begeistert und fröhlich. Er ist ein lieber, freundlicher Hund, zu allen Menschen nett, dabei weder aufdringlich noch stürmisch. An der Leine läuft er schön und ist überglücklich, wenn er Aufmerksamkeit und Zuwendung bekommt, jeden Moment der Spaziergänge sowie die Streicheleinheiten geniesst er sichtlich. Mit seinen Spaziermentoren und Betreuern ist er eng befreundet. Er lebt mit einem anderen Hund in einem Kennel, mit dem er gemeinsam zu den Spaziergängen startet, und mit einem bereits vorhandenen Hund kann er gut vergesellschaftet werden. Romulus wartet auf seine endgültige, fürsorgliche Familie, er braucht viel Liebe und Zuwendung und sehnt sich nach einem sicheren, komfortablen Zuhause.
