Coco and Romy, two Yorkie females, came to Melampo with other Yorkies because their owner became seriously ill and unfortunately can no longer care for them. Their lives changed overnight. It is all the more important that they now find a loving and above all responsible home where they can settle permanently. Characteristically, they are very loving, people-oriented and trusting. They are very affectionate towards the helpers. They enjoy being close to people, like to climb onto laps and enjoy petting. They feel safe in human society and actively seek the attention and protection of their caregivers. Both are very friendly and uncomplicated to deal with. They are also social and compatible with other dogs. Next week they will be spayed/neutered (beginning of September) and tested for Mediterranean diseases. We wish for both of them a home where they become full-fledged family members and receive the necessary time, attention and responsibility. Because even small dogs are real dogs: they have needs, want to be busy, need education, exercise, closeness and a reliable caregiver. Those who decide for the two should be aware that adoption is a long-term responsibility. After losing their previous home, they need security, comfort and a permanent home.

Die beiden Hündinnen Coco und Romy kamen zusammen mit anderen Yorkies nach Melampo, weil ihre Besitzerin schwer erkrankt ist und sich leider nicht mehr um sie kümmern kann. Für die beiden hat sich damit ihr bisheriges Leben von einem Tag auf den anderen verändert. Umso wichtiger ist es, dass sie nun ein liebevolles und vor allem verantwortungsvolles Zuhause finden, in dem sie dauerhaft ankommen dürfen. Charakterlich sind sie sehr lieb, menschenbezogen und vertrauensvoll. Gegenüber den Helfern zeigen sie sich ausgesprochen anhänglich. Sie geniessen die Nähe zu Menschen, klettern gerne auf den Schoss und freuen sich über Streicheleinheiten. Sie fühlen sich in menschlicher Gesellschaft sicher und suchen aktiv die Aufmerksamkeit und den Schutz ihrer Bezugspersonen. Beide sind sehr freundlich und unkompliziert im Umgang. Auch mit anderen Hunden sind sie sozial und verträglich. Nächste Woche werden sie kastriert/sterilisiert (Anfang September) und auf Mittelmeerkrankheiten getestet. Wir wünschen uns für die beiden je ein Zuhause, in dem sie vollwertige Familienmitglieder werden und die nötige Zeit, Aufmerksamkeit und Verantwortung bekommen. Denn auch kleine Hunde sind richtige Hunde: Sie haben Bedürfnisse, möchten beschäftigt werden, brauchen Erziehung, Bewegung, Nähe und eine verlässliche Bezugsperson. Wer sich für die beiden entscheidet, sollte sich bewusst sein, dass eine Adoption eine langfristige Verantwortung ist. Nach dem Verlust ihres bisherigen Zuhauses brauchen sie Sicherheit, Geborgenheit und ein dauerhaftes Zuhause.
