Adopt Ron

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 2 years

Ron - guy like from a movie Status: for adoption Ron is a dog who has one main hobby: being close to people. Seriously - cuddles, snuggling, contact... the more the better. From the first moments he is very positively oriented towards the family members and quickly shows that humans are his favorite "thing" in the world. Guests? Sure, he greets them at home, and on the outside he passes people without any problem. Full culture. Cleanliness at home is already mastered. Gets along well with other dogs at home - lives in harmony with a female dog, sometimes tries to show "how important he is" with a male, but without drama and it can be sorted out. Likes children, is friendly and open. Hasn't had the chance to meet cats yet, so a calm introduction will be needed. Being alone at home? At first there was some separation anxiety, but the guy quickly learns that the human comes back. After a walk, he can perfectly calm down and go to sleep. He is fine being with other dogs, and alone... that's a topic for further training. On a leash, he walks very nicely - doesn't pull, walks calmly, absorbs the world and is getting better at finding his way in different situations. The car is still a bit of a "lottery" for him - it happened that he felt unwell, but we noticed that he feels better in the transport box. At home, he is rather calm, although alert - he reacts to noises or sounds from cages, sometimes "barks" together with his canine companions. Once he could whine, chirp or "mew" (yes, he has something of a cat in him 😄), but now he increasingly chooses the mode: I lie down, rest, relax. This is a dog who learns quickly and does great in the relationship with humans. And his biggest weakness? The bed and cuddling. If you allow it, he will be your shadow and the best companion for snuggling 🥰 We are looking for a home for him that will give him some time to perfect the details, but above all will appreciate his huge heart and sociable character. —- DOG'S METRICS —- 🧮 Year of birth: 01-02-2024 🚻 Gender: female 🐾 Size: small 10kg 🏀 Activity: medium ❤️ neutering: yes ℹ️ Chip: yes 💉 Vaccinations: yes ✅ dog is under the care of the Tricity branch of the Foundation for Puppies Judyta ✅ dog is located in a temporary home in the Tricity area and surroundings ✅ Adoption requirement: filling out the questionnaire, pre-adoption visit and signing the adoption contract ✅ LINK TO QUESTIONNAIRE:

Łóżko i przytulanie.

About Ron

What life with Ron looks like

Ron is a small young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Fundacja Judyta dla Psiego Losu in Poland.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Ron, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Ron?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja Judyta dla Psiego Losu handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Ron on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Ron if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja Judyta dla Psiego Losu will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Ron already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Ron isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja Judyta dla Psiego Losu early rather than rehoming privately; they know Ron and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
