Rony

Male · Young · 1 year

Rony was adopted by us as a puppy, unfortunately in his year and a half there was an incident where he bit the owner and was returned to us. Rony is a young, active dog who needs clear rules and routine. He walks like a clock. He likes routine and appreciates knowing what to expect from his person. He is very trainable and enjoys cooperating. He has basic obedience and is very clever, for example, he enjoys agility. We are looking for a home with experience where they will appreciate his love of action and work. He is not a pet, but a dog that needs to be occupied. Ideally a house with a garden in a village or outside of the city traffic, which doesn't suit him well. He gets upset by some unknown things, we would prefer a calmer environment for him. NOT suitable for children! He gets along with other dogs, but he is hyperactive and other dogs don't always react well to him, which can lead to a fight. He will go for adoption microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, neutered, under an adoption agreement, after paying the adoption fee (2500,-).

About Rony

What life with Rony looks like

Rony is a medium-sized young adult dog waiting at ForDogs z.s. in Czech Republic.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇨🇿Adopting from Czech Republic

Czech shelters (útulky) include sterilization, vaccinations, and microchip ID. The adopter signs a written contract (smlouva) — the shelter may follow up to verify wellbeing.

Frequently asked

Adopting Rony, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Rony?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. ForDogs z.s. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Rony on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Rony if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — ForDogs z.s. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Rony already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Rony isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with ForDogs z.s. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Rony and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (CS). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
