Roxy Boxer

Female · Adult · 5 years

Roxy & Buddy are house-trained, and settle well in the home together. They are happy to be left for 4-6 hours with a break once settled, and also travel well in the car! This lovely duo are going to be wonderful family dogs, as they love spending time with their people and chilling out together. These two love going out for their sniffy walks, and playing with their soft toys and tuggy toys! We can't wait to see these two living it up together in their forever home! Meet this gorgeous pair of Boxers, Roxy and Buddy! Roxy is 5.5-years old and Buddy is 3-years old! These two are able to live with another dog in home home pending a successful meet at the centre, and young primary school aged children+. Roxy and Buddy are two beautiful, sweet dogs that love to meet new people. At times, they can jump up, but try to be as polite as possible! Buddy is a bit more bouncy, so any children in the home will need to be confident with this. This bonded pair are looking for a loving home where they can curl up together on the sofa or in their bed, and go on fun, sniffy adventures. Roxy is a chilled out girl, who loves to find a nice warm spot to lay down and snooze. Buddy has a little bit more pep in his step, enjoying a playtime and zoom in the garden.

About Roxy Boxer

What life with Roxy Boxer looks like

Roxy Boxer is a adult dog waiting at Dogs Trust Cardiff in Cardiff.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Roxy Boxer, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Roxy Boxer?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Dogs Trust Cardiff handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Roxy Boxer on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Roxy Boxer if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Dogs Trust Cardiff will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Roxy Boxer already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Roxy Boxer isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Dogs Trust Cardiff early rather than rehoming privately; they know Roxy Boxer and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
