Ryn werd op 23 augustus 2019 door een dierenartsassistente langs de weg gevonden toen ze op weg was naar het werk. Ryn was een schuw, onderkomen, onderkoeld, uitgedroogd, niesziek kitten dat vol vlooien zat en maden in haar vachtje had . Ze woog amper 810 gram. Het was een hoopje ellende. Na enkele kuren antibiotica deed ze het veel beter. Na een tijdje bleek haar buikje wat gespannen te staan. Na onderzoeken bleek Ryn FIP te hebben. FIP is ongeneeslijk. Mits een goede ondersteuning kan de levensverwachting soms verhoogd worden. Ryn blijft onder onze hoede om toe te zien op haar verdere behandeling. Na 1,5 jaar is ze uitgegroeid tot een prachtige dame. Update 2022: Ryn doet het goed, maar je ziet wel aan haar vacht dat ze niet gezond is. Ze blijft ook heel klein. Eerst kon het opvanggezin er niet aankomen, maar ze begint steeds meer van knuffeltjes te genieten. Het is ook een echte speelvogel. Update september 2024: Ryn onderging een heupoperatie aangezien de heupkoppen niet meer goed zaten en ze erg moeilijk kon stappen.
