Sani

Mixed Breed · Female

Weiblich Sani – a loving little girl dog is looking for a new home Sun I., Sani, is a divorce orphan and has recently moved to one of our foster homes. Here she proves to be very easy to care for. She knows and reliably performs basic commands. She walks well on a leash and is very well-behaved in the car. She likes other dogs and would like to get to know them. She is very confident in contact with them and clearly communicates what she likes and what she doesn't. She has also been in the horse stable (no problem). She seems to get along with cats, but needs to be accustomed to the household that they are not playmates. She prefers women, but is initially skeptical of men. She likes to consult with her humans and is happy about any confirmation when she does something right. She does not know children from her previous home and looks at them cautiously from a distance. She observes situations she doesn't know at first, until curiosity takes over. However, if Sani wants something very much, she can also be stubborn. We wish for Sani a loving home with a calm and confident leadership, where she can also stretch out on the couch. Children should already be older. If Sani has crept into your heart, then fill out the adoption form right away. Sani can be visited at her foster home in Bad Vilbel Dortelweil. More dogs are looking for a home... Milly has been waiting for her people for so long. Oscar is friendly and open to people and other dogs. Mia San wants a quiet bed for herself. Maya wants her own home.

About Sani

What life with Sani looks like

Sani is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at Tierschutzverein Hunde in Not Rhein-Main e.V. in Bad Vilbel.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Sani, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Sani?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzverein Hunde in Not Rhein-Main e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Sani on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Sani if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutzverein Hunde in Not Rhein-Main e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Sani already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Sani isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzverein Hunde in Not Rhein-Main e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Sani and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
