My name is Santa. I am a 1.5-year-old mix between a Beauceron and a German Shepherd. I was found in a shelter after being abandoned, and my past remains a mystery. All we know is that I probably had a difficult beginning that left me with some scars. That's why sometimes humans still scare me. When I feel uncomfortable, I can bark to create distance, but that's just a shell to protect myself. When I'm confident, I reveal myself. With "my" humans, I am infinitely gentle: I am always looking for cuddles, I need to be close to you, and I love falling asleep on your laps. The urban environment, noise, everything scares me a lot. I probably was never used to the city or even to walking on a leash. But I am adapting and learning at an incredible speed. In just a few weeks I have already made huge progress! There is still a lot to build, but I am a brilliant student. I am very smart and very responsive: I already know "sit," "lie down," "stay," I come back whenever my masters call me, and I am a real champion at the "find your toy" game! Outside, I am a big athlete who loves life. I like to run, jump, explore, and play (I am very playful). I am very curious about everything, but like a true teenager, I often get carried away by my emotions. When everything is super cool, I become a bit silly! It's the same with dog friends! At home, once my paws are stretched out, I am calm. I am a lively and energetic dog, with incredible potential. I just need a loving, gentle, and patient family. You will have to accompany me consistently to help me manage my fears and emotions. Je m'appelle Santa. Je suis une croisée Beauceron et Berger Allemand de 1 an et demi. J'ai été récupérée en SPA après avoir été abandonnée, et mon passé reste un mystère. Tout ce qu'on sait, c'est que j'ai sûrement eu un début de vie difficile qui m'a laissé quelques cicatrices. C'est pour cela que, parfois, les humains me font encore un peu peur. Quand je me sens mal à l'aise, je peux aboyer pour mettre de la distance mais ce n'est qu'une carapace pour me protéger. Quand je suis en confiance, je me révèle. Avec « mes » humains, je suis d'une tendresse infinie : je suis toujours en demande de câlins, j'ai besoin d'être proche de vous et j'adore m'endormir sur vos genoux. L'environnement urbain, le bruit, tout ça m'effraie beaucoup. Je n'avais sans doute jamais été habituée à la ville ni même à marcher en laisse. Mais je m'adapte et j'apprends à une vitesse folle. En quelques semaines j'ai déjà fait d'énormes progrès ! Beaucoup de choses restent à construire, mais je suis une élève brillante. Je suis très intelligente et très réceptive : je connais déjà le « assis », « coucher », « pas bouger », je reviens dès que mes maîtres m’appellent et je suis une vraie championne au jeu de “cherche ton jouet” ! À l'extérieur, je suis une grande sportive qui adore la vie. J'aime courir, gambader, explorer et jouer (je suis très joueuse). Je suis très curieuse de tout, mais comme une vraie adolescente, je me laisse encore souvent déborder par mes émotions. Quand tout est super cool, je deviens un peu fofolle ! C'est pareil avec les copains chiens ! À la maison, une fois mes pattes bien dégourdies, je suis calme. Je suis une chienne pleine de vie et d'énergie, avec un potentiel incroyable. J'ai simplement besoin d'une famille aimante, douce et patiente. Il faudra m'accompagner avec constance pour m'aider à gérer mes peurs et mes émotions.
