Sanz &#8211

Mixed Breed · Male

Sanz now lives in 76593 Gernsbach. All the best, little treasure. Heartfelt thanks, Mrs. D. “A sympathetic gentleman in the best age seeks a new sphere of activity in a comfortable home.” Something like that could be how Sanz’s contact notice reads, if he needed one. We are, however, hopeful that the friendly tricolor male dog will find his “match made in heaven” simply through his absolutely wonderful nature. But in order… Sanz lived in his family since puppyhood, where he learned everything a true family dog should know. Now, at the age of nearly six years, he was given to an animal shelter due to an allergy of one of his people. It is clear that for a dog who spent his entire life with his people, a world can collapse when he must suddenly live in a kennel. Sanz is a cheerful nature and makes the best of his situation, but the animal shelter is simply not comparable to a real home, and he suffers greatly from not being able to truly bond with anyone and the doors closing behind the caretakers at night. The playful fellow was obviously well socialized with other dogs, he seeks no fights, and gets along with all of them. Sanz would like to be stroked, he seeks attention and enjoys when one of the two-leggeds can spare a little time to engage with him. Sanz wants to be part of a family again, he knows the small dog primer and is already a well-established, lovable, and friendly character. He is in the best age to be a loyal companion to his people for a long time and has long left behind the mischief of puberty. Give yourself a push—Sanz deserves to find his great happiness again!. This animal was surrendered to the shelter.

Sanz lebt jetzt in 76593 Gernsbach. Alles Gute, kleiner Schatz.

About Sanz &#8211

What life with Sanz &#8211 looks like

Sanz &#8211 is a small adult mixed breed dog waiting at Tierschutzverein ARCA e.V. in Gernsbach.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Sanz &#8211, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Sanz &#8211?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzverein ARCA e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Sanz &#8211 on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Sanz &#8211 if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutzverein ARCA e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Sanz &#8211 already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Sanz &#8211 isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzverein ARCA e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Sanz &#8211 and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
