Sean Paul

Male · Young · 2 years

Support and Health How much training will I need? Needs ongoing support Can I be left alone? Potentially, once settled Sean Paul came to us as a stray so we do not know if he has been left alone before. He will need his home alone training worked on once he’s settled into his new home and has the potential to do a few hours. Do I have any medical conditions? History of Sean Paul has historic medical conditions, namely ear infections which have been resolved, that will require consideration before this pet is rehomed. Our rehoming team will be able to give you further information if you apply to rehome them and you are a successful match. We would also advise that any medical conditions, be that historic or ongoing, are discussed with your own vet prior to taking them home. Who I can live with Can I live with dogs? No Can I live with cats? No Can I live with small pets? No Additional information When Sean Paul came into us he was quite worried around other dogs, so we have been working on helping him gain his confidence around them. He has made good progress with this and is happy to walk near other dogs, but he prefers not to interact with them. Sean Paul’s new owners will need to continue his training around other dogs and be understanding of his needs. With ongoing support, he may become more confident around them, although he may always prefer to keep to himself. Family and environment What kind of family am I looking for? Sean Paul can live with children aged 11+. He can be a worried boy at times and prefers to approach people in his own time. Once he’s got to know you he gets very excited to see his favourite people and enjoys some gentle fuss. What type of environment would suit me? Sean Paul will need a private, secure garden to allow him to explore and play. He has recently learnt how to play tuggy and loves soft, squeaky toys! About Sean Paul “Gimme the Light”… and a little time, and you’ll see what a lovely boy Sean Paul really is. When Sean Paul first arrived, he wasn’t quite ready to “Get Busy”. New things can still feel a little overwhelming, but every day his confidence grows. He’s recently discovered that walks can actually be pretty fun, and he’s starting to enjoy getting out and about with his trusted humans by his side. The best part of Sean Paul’s day? Seeing his people. The moment they walk into the room, his excitement goes up like the “Temperature”. His tail starts wagging, his eyes light up, and he can’t wait to say hello. This little guy loves his toys and enjoys having a garden where he can run, play and just be a dog. Give him a toy and some space to explore, and you’ll see his playful personality shine through. Sean Paul is looking for a patient home that understands that confidence isn’t built overnight. He needs people who will move at his pace, celebrate the small victories, and remember that sometimes “We Be Burnin'” through those fears one tiny step at a time. In return, you’ll get a loyal little companion who loves his people with his whole heart. He may not arrive ready to be the life of the party, but with time, kindness and understanding, Sean Paul will show you exactly why he’s worth the wait.

About Sean Paul

What life with Sean Paul looks like

Sean Paul is a very small young adult dog waiting at Woodgreen Pets Charity in United Kingdom.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Sean Paul, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Sean Paul?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Woodgreen Pets Charity handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Sean Paul on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Sean Paul if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Woodgreen Pets Charity will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Sean Paul already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Sean Paul isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Woodgreen Pets Charity early rather than rehoming privately; they know Sean Paul and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
