Sheldon / Lennard

Mixed Breed · Male · Young · 1 year

Meet Sheldon & Lennard – Gentle Brothers Looking for Love Sheldon and Lennard’s story began the same way as their brothers, Jasper and Sam. Their mum, Bridget, was found abandoned in an alley with a badly infected eye, and just three days later, she surprised her rescuers by giving birth to five babies. At seven weeks old, the little family came into our care, where the boys have grown up safe and loved. Now neutered and ready for the next chapter, Sheldon and Lennard are hoping to find a forever home where they can blossom with patient, loving care. Personalities and Preferences Compared to their confident brothers, Sheldon and Lennard are a little more reserved. They can be shy at first and will need some extra one-to-one time in their new home to build confidence and trust. But once they feel safe, their playful, curious natures soon shine through—especially when there are tunnels to dash through, toys to toss about, or tasty treats on offer. Like most rabbits, they aren’t keen on being picked up and much prefer to interact with humans on their own terms, with all four paws firmly on the ground. With gentle encouragement, they’re sure to grow into affectionate companions who enjoy spending time with their family. They’re also doing brilliantly with their litter training and keep their pen impressively clean for young buns. What Sheldon & Lennard Need Sheldon and Lennard would be happiest in a home that gives them plenty of space to explore and express themselves—whether that’s a secure outdoor setup or a dedicated, rabbit-proofed indoor room. They are adventurous and active, so they’ll need an environment where they can safely run, dig, and play to their hearts’ content. Their ideal family will be patient and understanding, giving them the time they need to build trust. In return, Sheldon and Lennard will reward you with the joy of watching two shy young buns grow in confidence and character. Could You Be Their Forever Family? Sheldon and Lennard may be the quieter pair, but they’re every bit as full of potential as their brothers. With the right home, these gentle boys will flourish and bring warmth, fun, and companionship to their new family. Could you give them the second chance they’ve been waiting for? Important Adoption Information Before completing a pre-adoption form, please take a moment to review our minimum adoption requirements and terms and conditions. These outline the space and care standards needed to ensure every rabbit in our care moves to a home where they can truly thrive. If adjustments are needed, we’re always happy to offer guidance — our goal is to support you in creating a suitable environment before adoption.

About Sheldon / Lennard

What life with Sheldon / Lennard looks like

Sheldon / Lennard is a young adult mixed breed rabbit waiting at Nibbles Rodent and Rabbit Rescue in United Kingdom.

Rabbits are social animals — most shelters recommend adopting them in bonded pairs rather than alone. They need fresh hay daily, several hours of out-of-cage time, and rabbit-safe spaces to explore. They live eight to twelve years, longer than many people expect.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Sheldon / Lennard, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Sheldon / Lennard?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Nibbles Rodent and Rabbit Rescue handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Sheldon / Lennard on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Sheldon / Lennard if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Nibbles Rodent and Rabbit Rescue will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Sheldon / Lennard already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most rabbits on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Sheldon / Lennard isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Nibbles Rodent and Rabbit Rescue early rather than rehoming privately; they know Sheldon / Lennard and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
