Sir Locke, born approximately 2017 (age estimated), neutered, approximately 60 cm shoulder height, at the shelter since 01/2026 What arrived at our shelter was a completely neglected dog, so overgrown with fur that it was hard to tell if he wanted to bite or cuddle. His body language was unreadable - you only saw hair. Nobody could estimate how much dog and how much fur was underneath. The change after the shave was simply incredible. From the constantly stressed, barking "hairball" a friendly, about eight-year-old male emerged. Suddenly there was a look, a face, a soft being. Sir Locke no longer lives in the large kennel, but with Julia in and around the caravan. There he enjoys the peace, the closeness to humans and especially the place by the fireplace. Warmth and security seem very important to him. He generally gets along with other dogs, but occasionally shows stress through food jealousy. Therefore, it would probably be best for him to move to a single home - a place where only he counts and he doesn't have to assert himself. Sir Locke is a very charming, calm guy who finally gets to arrive after all the stress. We very much hope that he will soon find his own home - a place with warmth, patience and people who see him just as he is now: a special dog with a big heart. Currently located in Romania and allowed to travel out if a home is found. Travels chipped and vaccinated (EU vaccination passport; vaccinations: rabies and basic immunization). All dogs are treated against intestinal parasites and ectoparasites at their arrival at the shelter and then at least once a year. The described behavioral observations are based on everyday life at the shelter and may be different in a domestic environment under changed living conditions. Sir Locke, geboren ca. 2017 (Alter geschätzt), kastriert, ca. 60 cm Schulterhöhe, im Shelter seit 01/2026 Was bei uns ankam, war ein völlig verwahrloster Hund, so überwuchert von Fell, dass man kaum erkennen konnte, ob er beißen oder kuscheln wollte. Seine Körpersprache war nicht zu lesen – man sah nur Haare. Wie viel Hund und wie viel Fell darunter steckte, konnte niemand einschätzen. Die Veränderung nach der Rasur war schlichtweg unglaublich. Aus dem dauergestressten, bellenden „Fellberg“ schälte sich ein freundlicher, etwa acht Jahre alter Rüde heraus. Plötzlich war da ein Blick, ein Gesicht, ein weiches Wesen. Sir Locke lebt inzwischen nicht mehr im großen Kennel, sondern bei Julia im und um den Wohnwagen. Dort genießt er die Ruhe, die Nähe zum Menschen und ganz besonders den Platz am Kamin. Wärme und Geborgenheit scheinen ihm sehr wichtig zu sein. Mit anderen Hunden kommt er grundsätzlich zurecht, zeigt jedoch gelegentlich Stress durch Futterneid. Deshalb wäre es für ihn vermutlich am schönsten, in ein Einzelzuhause zu ziehen – einen Ort, an dem nur er zählt und er sich nicht behaupten muss. Sir Locke ist ein ganz zauberhafter, ruhiger Kerl, der nach all dem Stress endlich ankommen darf. Wir wünschen uns sehr, dass er bald sein eigenes Zuhause findet – einen Platz mit Wärme, Geduld und Menschen, die ihn genauso sehen, wie er jetzt ist: ein besonderer Hund mit großem Herzen. Befindet sich aktuell in Rumänien und darf ausreisen, wenn er ein Zuhause gefunden hat. Reist gechipt und geimpft (EU Impfpass; Impfungen: Tollwut und Grundimmunisierung). Alle Hunde werden bei ihrer Ankunft im Shelter sowie anschließend mindestens einmal jährlich gegen Darmparasiten und Ektoparasiten behandelt. Die geschilderten Verhaltensbeobachtungen basieren auf dem Alltag im Shelter und können sich in einem häuslichen Umfeld unter veränderten Lebensbedingungen entsprechend anders darstellen.
