Unfortunately, I have already ended up at the Berner Tierzentrum for the second time. After finding a new home just over a year ago, I had to return due to changes in my family environment. Therefore, I now more than ever wish for my final forever place - a home where I can arrive and stay. I am an intelligent, lively male who goes through life with a vigilant mind and a lot of motivation. Generally, I am friendly to all people, but sometimes I need some time to gain trust. I am not compatible with other dogs and do not want contact with conspecifics. With the right, confident leadership, I usually master dog encounters outdoors. Unfortunately, in my past, there have already been incidents with other dogs, so I wear a muzzle outside the house permanently. On walks, I behave well and am a pleasant companion who copes well with various external stimuli. I am just learning how much fun working with humans is. Except when it comes to wildlife - then I am all fired up! I have a strong hunting instinct and therefore must not be let off the leash. I also drive super in the car and can stay alone for a while once I have settled in. I have already proven here in the shelter that I could become a great office dog if the circumstances fit. For my new home, I am looking for active, dog-experienced people, preferably breed connoisseurs. I need people by my side who will lead me confidently through the world, then I am a fantastic companion. I wish for a life without other pets, children in their teens should not be a problem. Since I am a really bright mind, I love physical exercise as well as mental stimulation. This should also be taken into account in the new home. Due to my coat color, I am an allergy sufferer and require both special food and medication. This should be taken into account when taking me over. Applicants should be at least 25 years old and provide a character reference. A confirmation from the landlord/owner and/or employer, in which the explicit keeping of a list dog is mentioned, is considered a condition for taking over. Please note the cantonal regulations regarding the keeping of list dogs and inform yourself in advance with your veterinary office responsible for your canton. Name: Sirko – der Willensstarke Rasse: American Staffordshire Terrier Mischling Farbe: grau mit weiss Alter: 10.10.2017 Geschlecht: männlich Kastriert: ja Eigenschaften: Hallo liebe Hundefreunde, mein Name ist Sirko (27.5 kg / SH: ca. 48 cm) und ich möchte mich gerne kurz vorstellen. Leider bin ich bereits zum zweiten Mal im Berner Tierzentrum gelandet. Nachdem ich vor knapp einem Jahr ein neues Zuhause gefunden hatte, musste ich nun aufgrund von Veränderungen meines Familienumfeldes leider wieder zurückkehren. Deshalb wünsche ich mir jetzt mehr denn je meinen endgültigen Für-Immer-Platz – ein Zuhause, in dem ich ankommen und bleiben darf. Ich bin ein intelligenter, aufgeweckter Rüde, welcher mit wachem Kopf und viel Motivation durchs Leben geht. Generell bin ich freundlich zu allen Menschen, benötige jedoch manchmal etwas Zeit, um Vertrauen zu fassen. Mit anderen Hunden bin ich nicht verträglich und wünsche keinen Kontakt zu Artgenossen. Mit der richtigen, souveränen Führung meistere ich Hundebegegnungen draussen jedoch in der Regel gut. Da es in meiner Vergangenheit leider bereits zu Vorfällen mit anderen Hunden gekommen ist, trage ich ausserhalb des Hauses dauerhaft einen Maulkorb. Auf Spaziergängen benehme ich mich prima und bin ein angenehmer Begleiter, welcher gut mit diversen Aussenreizen zurechtkommt. Ich lerne gerade wie viel Spass die Zusammenarbeit mit dem Menschen macht. Ausser wenn es um Wildtiere geht – dann bin ich Feuer und Flamme! Ich habe einen ausgeprägten Jagdtrieb und darf deshalb nicht von der Leine gelassen werden. Ich fahre ausserdem super im Auto mit und kann auch recht gut alleine bleiben, sobald ich mich eingelebt habe. Ich habe hier im Tierheim auch schon beweisen dürfen, dass ich ein prima Büro Hund werden könnte, wenn die Umstände passen. Für mein neues Zuhause wünsche ich mir aktive, hundeerfahrene Menschen, vorzugsweise Rassekenner. Ich brauche Leute an meiner Seite, welche mich souverän durch die Welt führen, dann bin ich ein fantastischer Begleiter. Ich wünsche mir ein Leben ohne andere Haustiere, Kinder im Teenageralter sollten kein Problem sein. Da ich ein wirklich helles Köpfchen bin, liebe ich nebst der körperlichen Auslastung natürlich auch die mentale Beschäftigung. Dies sollte auch im neuen Zuhause beachtet werden. Aufgrund meiner Fellfarbe bin ich Allergiker und benötige sowohl Spezialfutter als auch Medikamente. Dies sollte bei meiner Übernahme entsprechend berücksichtigt werden. Interessenten sollten mindestens 25 Jahre alt sein und ein Leumundszeugnis vorweisen können.
